Pros: Flat Screen Picture, Toshiba quality, NO UGLY WIRES to VCR/DVD. Nice "in-between" size, plays CD's
Cons: Can't record one program while watching another channel. Heavier than LCD monitors (79 lbs)
The Bottom Line: Great guest or bedroom TV. No messy wires to VCR or DVD, neat looking all-in-one-piece package. Good picture on Flat 24" Screen

In a nutshell, this is a great TV if you are looking for a 24" Combo DVD/VCR unit. Pros: Great picture, easy set up, easy to use with NO MASS OF WIRES to set up or hang around making the tv look ugly or unsightly. Sleek, silver unit that is "all-in-one-piece." From a front view, looks great. Make a great unit for a bedroom, guest room, etc. We bought it for Christmas 2003. Cons: 79 pounds, CRT unit is heavier than the new LCD monitors now coming out.
Comments: After enjoying one previous Toshiba TV, and two Toshiba DVD players, we added this TV unit to our daughters room. We have multiple people in our house watching multiple things at the same time, so we needed one more TV. We wanted something of modest size, so it would not dominate the room or need wires or a cabinet. This one fit the bill perfectly. VCR works perfectly, as does the DVD. The DVD plays CD's, CD-R, CD-RW, and Video Cd's as well so it can double as a little cd player in the room. Picture is excellent and the flat screen makes it appear a little bigger than it actually is. Sound quality is good. DVD zooms, but of course you only have 24 inches of screen to work with. My daughter loves it. Of course, if you record on the VCR, you will have to be watching or leaving it on that channel. The TV or entire unit has to be on to rewind the VCR, but that is no problem. Other than the fact, that you cannot record one channel while watching another, the TV has no problems. It is "not" light in weight, especially relative to the new smaller TV's on the market, so you will not be lugging it around from room to room. I was able to drag it upstairs by myself, but it wasn't easy. But it is lighter and the cabinet is smaller than my other two CRT televisions (27 and 32 inches).
Another "pro" is that is has pretty simple to operate controls, doesn 't take long to figure out everything. Great tv for a guest bedroom, guests can simply plug in the DVD or VCR tape and it immediately works.
There are units that do all of the above cheaper than this unit, but with a little bit less picture quality (this is flat screen) and not Toshiba quality. But if you shop around, you can find an Apex or some other TV Combo unit at a cheaper price. But the picture on this one simply looked better at the store, so I paid extra for what I hope will be quality.
