Pros: Everything,almost!
Cons: Loading of the top rack.
The Bottom Line: Simply put...Easy to operate,quiet,sparkling dishes,many choices for washing, and easy to clean.

We purchased the Whirlpool Gold 1200 and are very happy with it. It cleans beautifully. I love the ease of use, especially, the controls. It affords me a multitude of choices. It is good looking and very, very quiet.I quickly rinse my dishes in cold water,a hard habit to break, before putting them in and found the Quick Wash works great.
I also, like the nylon racks because if nicked they will heal themselves with the next hot wash.The only thing I don't like about it is the loading of the top rack.In fact, it annoys me VERY much. The glasses fall over on each other unless the entire rack is full. I fear I will end up with breakage. I also, can't load cereal or soup bowls very well without them sliding sideways.Being as I've only had the machine for 2 weeks I can't comment on the durability or performance over time.
Hopefully, the soap cup door won't break this time around. My first dishwasher was a Whirlpool and the springs went on the soap door over time.
My last machine was a Kitchen Aide and I LOVED it. The soap door wasn't operated by springs and the top rack loaded beautifully.The tines could be moved closer to hold the glasses to prevent falling over.It died after 18 years. I am older now and can't afford the cost of the Kitchen Aide comparable to the one I had. So, I am back to trying the Whirlpool,again, and hopefully with lasting, good results.
I would recommend this model even though it is a bit pricey. I probably will never use all the cycles but it's nice to have them, just in case.
