Ever want to go back to your childhood and relive some of those magical moments? Ever want to be some place where time doesn't matter. Then Cracker Barrel is your place! Front the very time you walk past the rocking chairs on the front porch to the time you check out in the old country store, you have a sense of the past. The whole atmosphere is crackling warm to your toes! You can sit in front of the fireplace and play checkers in crafty rocking chairs while your waiting for your plate of dumplings, ham steak, and sweet baby carrots. May I not forget the hot cornbread and buttermilk biscuits with mountain blackberry jam! What's best to wash it all down? may I suggest a big glass of frosty rootbeer. Dessert can range from apple pie to bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream.
The last and one of my favorite stops is the gift shop. They have stained glass, snuggly bears, soaps, salt water taffy and keepsakes. The homemade buckeyes from Ohio are my favorite. They are made fresh from a lady's basement business! I can never leave without getting some. If your needing the last minute card, they have nice gift cards for all occasions.
If your passing by and see there big brown sign, you should stop. You won't be sorry!
