Our family discovered this channel a short time ago and it has quickly made it's way to dinner table discussions. The quality and content of these programs are terrific. The shows really keep the childrens interest and teach them along the way.
Our 6 year old daughter has gained a great deal of understanding about many different animals and places around the world from this channel. Discovery Kids provides informational and educational programming on a variety of different science, nature and worldly subjects, all presented in a way that children can understand. You never ever have to worry about content with this channel, as it is much more tame than Discovery (meaning no animals mauling other animals or on screen mating). I believe that Discovery Kids will continue to add to our daughters education. It also has her more vocal in conversations on the many, many shows she has seen. A wonderful experience for any child and a valuable education tool for adults to take advantage of.
