Thanks for taking me back (Reply to this comment)

Your opinion really captures the atmosphere of the Netherlands. Bikes are our main mode of transportation - no school buses, no second or third cars in a household. Just plain old bikes...
Thank you for taking me back to my childhood!

... with the Queen title!
For me, biking has been a way of life for four years now since I don't have a car... I ride to & back from classes, shop for groceries with it, travel to bookstores... bla bla bla, I might fit into Amsterdam pretty well, huh?
... the Netherlands leads the non-English speaking countries in the number of people who speak English.
One of the members of the team that was looking at accrediting my college's new engineering program mentioned that the Dutch students, in technical schools, at least, learn English & French, and are encouraged to take a third language.
They're pretty good at soccer also, eh?
Good job Alex... ...t-žoo

"...or every local will know you are a tourist."
"Amsterdam, the city of 725,000 people, has about 550,000 bicycles. 1 million of them get stolen every year."

I guess I'd be one of those tourists who sticks out like a sore thumb because I don't ride bicycles. If I plan on visiting Amsterdam, I better start then, right?
Great review!
