My husband, who is a hopeless romantic, said he would take me anywhere in the world to get married. This is a second marriage for both of us and he wanted the wedding to be just us and no stress for me. I said you choose where the only request I had was some place warm.
Our travel agent suggest Rarotonga. He made ALL the arrangements. We stayed at the Manui Beach Hotel. Which was a small resort with just beachfront bungalows. It was adults only - which kept the feeling romantic - couples strolling around and such. In the evening we would go to the little open air restaurant / lounge and sip wine or cocktails while watching the most incredible views!
We were married by an island pastor at sunset one evening. The staff at the resort took care of everything - they had a pedal trail leading me to the beach where I went through an arch of flowers to where my husband was waiting. They had a cake made,champagne & photographer. the next morning they had a special table on the beach for our breakfast.
While we were on the island we rode horses in the ocean and up to a waterfall where we went swimming in this tropical pool alone like it was our own little secret. We shopped in town and ended up with a wonderful black pearl. Slow paced splender!
I couldn't have been happier with Rarotonga or the Manui Beach hotel!! We are going back for our anniversary in 10/01
