Dude, even I can't handle that stuff. And I'm no stranger to alcohol (although I'm a good girl who actually waited until she was 21 to get (s)hit-faced drunk).

Great essay. Surprised you could remember that much about the city with all the beer.

of Mardi Gras. You just don't know how bad I want to go! Gotta find a babysitter first.

"Come on mom, watch the kids for a week so I can go show my boobs to crowds of people. I'll get beads!"

Yeah.

Maybe one day though.

It is not so much that I forgot the smell...
It's more that I am already used to it.
See, Jackson, Michigan is a stinkhole of a place to begin with. I work in Jackson. So for me to go from one stink hole to another - well, thats not so bad. But if I were to drive from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (which has an a very clean and fresh smell) to New Orleans, I'm sure that my stomach would turn, do flips, and other acrobatic feats that stomachs are not supposed to do.

. . that extri-special Mardi Gras stink. New Orleans is 90 minutes away from me, and I swear I can smell that funk for days afterwards.

And thanks for the tourism buckolas. Sadly, don't think I'll be reciprocating, but I think you'll understand. Well done.

This hints at your fornicatious activities, but I want to know all the dirty details. Of course, I imagine that such stories will best be left for a drunken night at Sir Homo's. Later, ya bead-tossin pimp.

I went down there with the Biggity Piggity Brad Parker. Who doesn't drink, but when I offered to buy a shot for him and a cute girl, he took the shot of Goldenslauger (SP?) like a teenage catholic girl who pukes on nightquill. But we took his car so I didnt have to put the miles on my peamp™ ride. Hell, when we were at Carla and Julie's room, he was gettin' ready to leave when they were gettin to bed! Gawd! He must be a virgin! Being quick and deft, I was able to let him know stealthfully that we were staying the night. Whew! Nice save by Molotov Jay!

Ike-

Thanks for the straight poop on Fat Tuesday. Sounds like it was a major blast in the pants (delivered COD) and definitely something to remember.

One mad burning question, though. Who was it that you took with you?

C'mon. Fess up, retail boy!

MH

Best regards,

-Mark

Irreverence Is The Style of Mardi Gras...... (Reply to this comment)

I enjoyed your irreverent style here. You have provided some very useful information too. Glad you had a good time. I have not been to Mardi Gras in a while. Most people I know there lock up their houses and get out of town. Then they return to hose down their houses and life goes back to ....sort of normal anyway. Great review! Tom
