Jesse,

Sorry for your bad experiences but that doesn't invalidate mine. Of course as with any job, you get out of it what you put in.

LIES LIES LIES! (Reply to this comment)

I worked at knott's,and there could hardly be a place with pooer working conditions. The most you can make as a ride op is 7.90. I HATED that job and am tramatized for life. The supervisors look at you as quote, "Bodies" for slave labour.
KBF is a place of falsehood and LIES. And the hated GUESTS, don't get me started on that.
I hateed my job at Knott's with all my heat body and soul. I still have strong hatred burning in my soul for that place. It took something from me. It is the closest to hell I have ever been. HOW DARE YOU say it's a great place to work with room for advancement. You LIE to all people.
Get the word out! AVOID working at Knott's.
As if your life depended on it. I HATE KNOTT"S.
My soul will never rest till the place goes bankrupt. The day I long for.

Do you know after almost 17 years in Southern California that we've never been to Knotts? Great review - I really need to check it out :)

You say the park (Reply to this comment)
by remnjava
hasn't changed much. From my aged perspective, I'd say the park has changed a WHOLE lot! Going back to the ancient 1950s, everything was free and there MIGHT have been one ride, perhaps a train ride, but then again, maybe it wasn't around yet either.

Everything was free and unfenced. Mom said it was because the hippies were sleeping there, that they had to fence things off. I remember the crazy room, where you were walking at an angle, the statues, miners, where women would have pictures taken, the chapel that got dark inside, and of course, the restaurant. I also remember some of the singing and dance reviews. I have only been there once since the rides came into being, taking my son there. He liked it better than Disneyland, don't remember why.

Nice review!

Gotta mention the Scary Farm! :) (Reply to this comment)

The Halloween Scary Farm was so awesome that it would be a shame to rate it based on our last hour in the park. They oversold tickets to an amazing degree. We were cheek-to-cheek by 9:30, and you couldn't even move, much less get in a line! We bought a special dinner ticket, and got in to many of the haunts before the park got packed. I give their haunts my highest recommendation! :)
Bottom line:
ALWAYS purchase a ticket that gives you special perks to enter early, or line jumping.
Never go on Fri/Sat :) Try to go when school is in session.
For the Halloween special- arrive at the earliest possible moment, and work from the back of the park to the front, thereby assuring you can GET OUT when the time comes ;)

Personal note: CONGRATS!!!!!! on the wedding :)!!!

Good review! You might want to heed the other comment and fix the bold headings for this review. We are kind, but other epionioneers may not be!

it would be much easier to read if you bolded the headings and left the body in regular text. :)
