There is a place in the Great White North that is like no other. Tucked away in the Banff National Park is the gem of the Canadian Rockies, Lake Louise. A glacier fed lake, the deathly cold waters produce a beauty that transcend all other forms in nature. The greenish blue waters capture the imagination and produce dreamlike images of surreal beauty.
The proud peak of Mt. Victoria lies in the not so distant background, surrounded by an alpine arrangement of ageless conifers. Words like breathe taking fail to convey the grandeur of the sight. The scenery far surpasses anything that Europe could ever offer.
Summer is a great time to visit this wonder of creation. I recommend that you arrive there early, before it gets crowded with tourists, and go take a canoe out on the lake. There is a boat rental there which offers canoes and reasonable rate.
Lake Louise is for everyone. Families will find the surroundings enjoyable. Little ones though might find it a bit dull. Couples should definitely visit this place. It will create the right mood to express your true love for your partner.
Its a quick trip west of Calgary so why not go today.
