| MaureenWF's Full Review: Tony N' Tina's Wedding |
Before my wedding, I decided to treat my bridesmaids to a Broadway play. Since it was so fitting, we chose “Tony N Tina’s Wedding.” We weren’t sure what to expect but we haven’t laughed so hard in a long time.
The show is completely interactive, with the zany cast members, sitting at your table (we had Tina’s ex and the pregnant bridesmaid at our table). If you get caught up in it enough, you almost forget this is a play. Heck, the bridesmaid was offering my pregnant girlfriend her phone number so they could attend lamaze together (as she was puffing away on cigarettes). Tina’s Grandma offered us some of her coupons (for tampons, saying in broken English, “Don’t need no more. . .”) We gave Tina’s drunken ex a pep talk on how he needed to get over Tina and he told us about his AA meetings. Along with interacting with the cast, we danced all the cheesy wedding dances, ate some pretty good pasta, and just laughed. I swear I’ve been to many weddings but this was the best yet! I didn’t even have to bring a gift!
We had a blast. You will too.
