| SweetieM's Full Review: Enterprise |
I recently had to rent a car from Enterprise while mine was in the shop for repairs. I must say the service was quick and excellent. And they were very kind to me too, given the situation.
First of all, their rates for renting a car were very reasonable per day. Thank goodness I only needed it for one day. There are hidden costs besides what they quote you on the phone so beware. But those hidden costs are only for insurance, which is a good thing if you don't have full coverage yourself (which I didn't). Your insurance should be enough to cover their cars, check your policies before renting, but their basic coverage plan runs no more than $20 a day. I chose just the basic damage coverage since my own insurance doesn't cover comprehensive.
They quote you a flat, base-line cost for compact Neon sized cars at $39.00 a day. Full size Malibu like cars run a couple bucks extra. But (and this is where they are getting the good review from) they gave me the Neon sized car for $24.99 a day. That is the insurance rate, for example if you absolutely need to rent a car while yours is in the shop. And believe me I absolutely needed the car to get back and forth to work. This was the nice feature of their business.
We had huge storm the week my car was in the shop and lots of other people in town had to rent cars while theirs were getting new glass or body work done. Believe me Enterprise was busy, and they were very nice about the prices for that reason.
The car itself was wonderful. They must renew their fleet of cars every year because I was given a 2000 Dodge Neon. Purred like a kitten. Very comfortable car and it drove like a dream. I didn't want to give it back. And Enterprise kept it in such good shape. No dings, dents or damage...and they even wash it for you before and after you get it. Ours was a white Neon, believe me they would have had to wash the dirt off.
The one great feature that Enterprise offers (but one I didn't take advantage of) is the fact that they pick you up and drop you off. I was able to make it out to their offices on my own so I didn't worry about that feature, but they did offer to drop me off at the garage when I returned their car (which I didn't have to worry about either).
Awesome service altogether. I would shop with them again if I ever need another rental car. Given my own car, I just might.
