Pros: Modern, up-to-date equipment.
Cons: No nationwide access, My home location was almost a year overdue for completion.
The Bottom Line: Gold's will be #1 when members are offered nationwide access.

| jpk1121's Full Review: Gold's Gym |
No pun intended in the title. I joined Gold's Gym as they were building a new location in my neighborhood. Gold's is an excellent facility, but there are a few shortfalls to it.
We were offered access to some other Gold's facilities, but that remains a select FEW. With my Bally Total Fitness membership, I can walk into any location nationwide, scan my card, and I'm in. Not the case with Gold's. Gold's Gym sells it's name to private franchises, which do not honor all Gold's memberships. Why not? Gold's does advertise over 600 locations nationwide; why should I not have access to those locations? Gold's Gym management would not entertain this question.
These issues aside, Gold's Gym is an excellent place to train. Of the several locations I have seen, the staff is competant and professional, much more than Bally Total Fitness.
