Not sure why you stopped writing here, but I've enjoyed reading your reviews and I hope you return to write on Epinions one of these days.
Cheers!

Foolish is spending upwards of almost $100 per pound of weight lost without calling it off earlier.
By comparison I lost 75 pounds on the atkins diet and have kept it off for two years. It cost me about 20 bucks for the books.
Go to weight watchers. Or simply work out more and eat less each day, there are plenty of programs who do not profit by prolonging the problem. Jenny Craig is not the solution.

Exaggerated, truth hidden (Reply to this comment)

The truth is the entrees are small. You are supposed to eat more vegetables than meat/main entree. When you add your vegetables(which are for the most part UNLIMITED) you can more than fill up.
The cost of the food is high - however, keep in mind this is Jenny Craig's way of making a profit. They either charge for the food, or charge higher membership costs. Either way it is a business and you are going to have to pay. Also, Jenny Craig provides services your grocery store does not. Sure go buy a weight watchers meal at your grocery store for 1/2 as much. When you walk out of the store you are on your own! They wont tell you what to eat, they wont give you suggestions, encouragement, advice gleaned from Ivy league universities (Jenny Craig has Yale faculty advisors), etc. The fact is most people go to Jenny Craig because they failed on their own over and over again - like me.
This reviewer even admits to considerable weight loss. All for $320 per month roughly. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?? You know the price before starting - so DON'T COMPLAIN when you pay it - even as you admit you lost a lot of weight during the first 2 months. You sound a fool.

Where Do You People Live? (Reply to this comment)
by mary1234
I spend a lot more than $35-45 for food for myself per week. Just a sandwich and soda for lunch costs $5, unless I brown-bag it every day. But most working mothers I know don't have the time or energy to make themselves lunch every day. Plus, we wouldn't be overweight if we weren't eating too much -- which means money being spent on food. I bet if you added up all the money you spend every day on snacks, meals, and on-the-run food-gobbling, you'd be surprised at how much you're spending.

Re: You failed? (Reply to this comment)

Pardon? A lack of dissatisfaction with your appearance? What kind of doublespeak is that? They are really astounding. I'd love for the FTC to step in and kick them in the wallet for the way they take advantage of us. If you feel you look good- then congrats, here's your pass to happiness.

You failed? (Reply to this comment)
by QueenLyssa
Or Jenny Craig did? Hrmm.. friendly service people. Aren't all the best conmen (conpersons?) generally charming and friendly? My experience was quite similar, only the inability to complete my required weight loss was blamed on (get this) my lack of dissatisfaction with my own appearance! Sheeze, when having a decent self-image is a negative thing, I start looking for someone with a better bit of logic to help me out.
Thanks for a great review,
Lyssa

Yes, i have since joined weight watchers. They make it clear that it is a life long process, that you have to learn to eat with real food, and if you fall off you have to get back on at some point. It's not easy but it's a far sight better than Jenny Craig.

...what their "special" food costed and tasted like. Thanks for sharing, this was very well written.
If I may give a tip to you. Try Weight Watchers. Read the epinions on it. It's a wonderful program.
Good luck to you!
