The 2006 Polaris Sportsman 450 All Terrain Vehicle is like no other ATV I have ever experienced. The rugged Polaris 450 is not only large enough to hold its own with most work quads, but its small enough to maneuver through the tightest areas. ...
Pros: Smooth, powerful Cons: Too bulky for tight trails
Well, after years and years of hearing about 4-wheelers, we finally gave in and bought one. You see, I still have an old Honda 3-wheel ATV, which I use for the most part when I go into the woods in Alabama for hunting, fishing, or whatever. I...
Last summer me and my husband bought a 1999 sportsman 500. We love riding it and needed something big and powerful. It rides really smooth without feeling hardly anything because of the suspension travel and independent rear suspension. It has a lot of...

In March of 2000 I purchased this ATV and since then it has been impressing me every time I drive it. Lets start from the begining, I can leave this TV sit for many days in below freezing weather and go out, just hit the starter and it will come to...

The sportsman 500 by Polaris is a exelent pick. The 500 has 499cc licquid cooled engine, and has dual suspension. I own this model and I am very pleased with it. It has a top speed of 60. A high and low gear, and reverse. Reverse has a safety witch will...
Pros: Great Goodyear tires,Big comfy seat. Great Fuji engine Cons: Shifter stinks, Transmission Problems, Belt easy to burn up.
Very good looking,Very good ride, too much maintenance, over 15 grease fittings that are a bear to get to! Under 200 miles and had to put new tie rod bushings on. It steers very hard! After a winch very heavy over 700#s.Cant wait for Yamaha 660 Grizzly!...
Pros: Fast, powerful and well suspended Cons: only about a year of problem free riding
This machine is an awesome machine, if you don't mind having it in the shop for most of the time! You can have the fastest and most powerful ATV but if you don't have long term reliability you don't have anything! My friend has an 1984 Yamaha Moto4 and...
Pros: Suspension, power and off road ability. Cons: Feels a bit heavy in corners.
After owning a Honda ATV with a 200cc motor for five years i decided to upgrade to a 2000 Sportsman 500. I have had it for two years now and am absolutley satisfied. With the Honda i was plauged by constant engine problems, the Polaris has given me no trouble except for a steering alignment problem which was fixed at a resonable price. I have seen an indicated top speed of about 58 miles per hour, its fast enough for any practical uses. When i'm hunting it handles trails with ease. The suspension is excellent giving a very smooth ride.
i just bought my first atv which is a polaris sportsman 500 and was wondering if it had the electric braking system and if it had true 4x4. i was also wondering what it's top speed is.
