Pros: style and price Cons: engine stumble, comfort
Bought a '97 Marauder brand new; knock-out looks, low price and known Suzuki dependability prompted purchase. No demo rides allowed, but I figured, what the hey! Well folks, by the time I got home (about 24 miles), I placed an order for the one piece gel...

Pros: style, comfort Cons: exhaust note
I bought my 1997 Marauder in May of 1999, since then I have logged over 3,500 miles on it. It is very comfortable on long trips and I love the fact that it has many items you can install to upgrade the bike to make it your own style. I found that the...

Pros: Great looks, decent price, smooth and powerful. Cons: None yet.....
In my opinion, this bike is a great value.... It looks great, is very smooth and powerful, and is relatively inexpensive. I've seen reports of the transmission being a little "clunky". Second gear sometimes is, but to me it just adds to the "personality"...

Pros: Style, road presence Cons: Seats
I bought the 2000 Marauder after not riding for 18 years. I've always like the Cruiser style of motorcycles, and this bike has a great look. Lots of chrome is standard as you can see. The bike is fairly heavy at 456 lbs (dry weight). The thing I had to...

Pros: Affordable classic cruiser loaded with curb appeal Cons: Bad riding position, asthmatic at hiway speed
I bought a 1998 a couple years ago and use it to rip around town. Mine is cream over red. The paint is what made me get the wallet out at the Suzuki dealership. It reminds me of a Chevy Corvette on two wheels. Classic retro drag-bike styling including a...

Pros: Reliability, style, price. Cons: Stock seat is a brick, gas tank only looks big
Everyone knows that most stock seats suck .. The Marauder seat is no exception. I took a 800 mile round trip on mine..and was in agony at first. Finally, I learned to lean back and the whole character of the bike changed. Once I got back I immediately...

Pros: Price, Style Cons: Uncomfortable on long rides
This is my first new bike... and overall it's fantastic.
I love the low, stretched look of the Marauder. It's fun to get complements on it wherever I go in Central Texas. My ride is beige and maroon. One of the cool features of the Marauder...

Pros: Very Eye Catching Cons: None
I bought this motorcycle because it is very eye catching. I liked the distinct similarity to a Harley Davidson. The sound and looks of the Marauder are very similar to the Harley Davidson.
To ride the Marauder is like having all the power and...

Pros: Devilish good looks, acceleration, and chrome Cons: exhaust not loud enough and bad seats.
I have owned my Marauder for two years now. Me and my wife ride every chance we get and to work when possible. Let me start with a general comment about bikes and couples. A bike or his and hers bikes is a great way for a couple to bond and enjoy each...

Pros: style, handling, price Cons: seat, not for taller riders
What a bike! If you are a lover of quality, appearance and value then this is the bike for you. The Suzuki Marauder is everything one looks for in a cruiser style bike, it is surprisingly quick, agile and solid for a machine in this price range. This...

Pros: I need to know the pros Cons: I need to know the cons.
Looks are great one this bike. Couldn't get a great test drive in so I'm not sure about the front end handling. I'm a 2 year rider now. I've had a 2006 750 Honda Shadow spirit. My big mistake was taking out my husbands 1400 Suzuki Intruder for a quick ...

Pros: Handling and low end torque, looks. Cons: Needs 6th gear for highway, chain drive. Gas tank capacity.
Bought this bike used this past fall - 2002 with only 200+ miles. Tripled that the first week I had it. What a fun bike to ride. Bike is responsive and quick, handles well at speed though a little sluggish when going slow. Looks nice and passes the ...

A Blast on a Budget
by chazmancharlie ,Oct 16 '06
Pros: Cost, looks, reliable, fun Cons: lack of aftermarket, to many stops for gas on a long trip
I do enjoy my Marauder and considering the sticker. How can I not? The bike has plenty of power if you just want a solid cruiser. I does seem to be a bit cantakerous in the city. And it seems to want to "dip" into the corners. But I was able to get used to it. All in all it is a great little bike. The after market is of no real good use, other than some of the basics. And that seems to sometimes be limited. I would reconmend this as a great starter bike into the cruiser world.

Handles like a DumpTruck
by diamonddp ,Mar 15 '09
Pros: Looks Great Nice paint and finish Cons: Ill handiling little bastard
We were going to buy a Marauder, maybe I am spoiled by my Moto Guzzi, but I thought I was not going to make it back from the test ride. I have ridden a lot of bikes from 1949 Panhead to a 2000 Triumph Tiger and just about everything in between but the Marauder was the most ill handling Little machine I have been on.
