Pros: Excellent handling, quality and cost. Cons: Very poor accessories.
I bought a 2000 Road Star just 3 weeks ago. I chose this bike because it just seemed to fit me and it had the look and feel I wanted, without the high price. Also, I have a 32" inseam and, though it could be 1" lower, I did not have any...

Pros: The most chrome for your cash. Easily accessorized, dependable and beautiful. Cons: Pipes are too quiet. Main oil drain bolt almost inaccessible
I've owned over 17 bikes over the last 20 years and this is one of the best-designed bikes I've owned. The best attributes of the Road Star are it's beautiful classic design, it's monstrous displacement (V98 cubic inches), easy to handle ergonomics due...

Pros: Power, Comfort, and exceptional looks and plenty of Aftermarket accessories.. Cons: NONE!!!!
What can I say? Where do I start? One word....AWESOME. I was in the market for A HD Heritage Softail. After receiving the wonderful, courteous service from the local Harley dealership (NOT!!!) I decided that there must be some other avenue to approach....

Pros: Very Powerful, Like feel of engine Rumbling, Great Gas mileage, rides very smooth Cons: Yamaha Accessories too expensive, but after market not too bad.
This is my second bike, I first had a Suzuki 650 salvage, just too small. Traded it for my 2001 Yamaha Road Star "Midnight Star" I love it, can not find anything bad about it. Plenty of power, the feel the engine gives you, the rumble at idle, just...

Pros: Sound, Torque, Torque, and Torque. Fit and finish, smooth ride, Great Chrome Cons: None so Far!
This is the bike I have wanted all my life! A full 1602cc or 85ci 48 degree V-Twin Torque Monster Rules. I wanted a Royal Star since their debut in 1996 but with all the articles about lack of power, waited, and am I glad I did. With 99 foot pounds of...

Not a Harley....
by kjg2 ,Sep 28 '07
Pros: Dependable and strong engine. Cons: Too heavy. Heavy steering.
Bought the Silverado version during Bike Week in Daytona Beach 2004. Add the loud pipes and the good chrome parts but it just doesn't "fit in" with the crowd. Motor is strong and reliable. Ride is stiff. Steering is VERY HEAVY. Front brake is fine but the rear brake could be better. Bike is HEAVY.
