Pros: Great power delievery, good handling, excellent suspention. Cons: Some stock components are junk, the end of the two stroke is near.
While practicing on a local motocross track, I got the chance to ride a 2001 YZ 250F for the day. While on this bike, trust me I never missed my 2001 YZ 125. This bike is so good its almost cheating, Yamaha has truely laid down some great technology this...
Pros: Great power, easy to ride, durable Cons: Weighs 10-15 pounds more than 125s, no other con.
I have raced a number of bikes in the last few yrs...from a couple of 125cc 2-strokes, 250cc 2-stroke and a YZ 400 4-stroke. I bought my '03 250F after riding/racing an underpowered Honda CR 125. The 250F is so much stronger, easier to ride, and ...
Pros: strong engine, very reliable, smooth power, awsome new forks and shock Cons: odd bend in bars
We all know that the end of the two stroke is near. Almost everywhere you go you see a four stroke bike. It is almost impossible not to see a four stroke racing. I had bought the YZ250F 5 months ago, I love it. Even though I may have many two stroke ...
Pros: Well built and great power Cons: Rock hits turn plastic white
The all new Yamaha YZ250F is completely amazing from the look to the power to the great adrenaline rush you get when riding the bike on the track. This bike is almost perfect incept for a few small adjustments that will make it perfect. Alot of people ...

Pros: Fast bike a sure race winner Cons: cam chain has tendency to loosed listen to the timing
Yz250F well I really like 2 strokes but this 4 strokes hauls. It is a beast a monster and great race and trail bike. The suspension on the bike is great it’s not bad on trails and it rocks the tracks. The bike troughs so much roost at the people behind ...
I just recently borrowed this bike from my friend for a weekend when my one was in the shop, and I wanted my bike to be there forever.
The YZ 250f is the most influential bike of my time.
In the order of best suspension to worst...
Pros: Tons of power, corners great, nice and tight. Cons: cant find one
Of all bikes that i have rode in the past few weeks i have been the most impressed with the YZ250F. Basically all my buddies have different bikes so i have had tons of chances to ride all of them. At first, when i rode the Honda 250F i was in aww about it. It handled awesome, and i have never ridin anything so smooth shifting, and something that corners as well. I hoped on my buddies Yz250F and then i totally changed my mind about it. It has so much off the line power and it stayed nice and tight through woops and corners. I cant say enough about the power. Yeah its a smaller 4 stroke but it can sure holds its own with other 250 4 strokes. Recently i bought one and i will never get anything else. If i do get something in the future it will be the YZ450F.
Pros: Hold on! This 4 stroke rips! Cons: Stock pip looks like crap,
I have always loved a 4 stroke! But this bike just makes the whole world light up! The bike handles great on very steep turns and jumps like a glider. The 4 stroke just grabs every thing in the dirt so you GO! The Yamaha engine runs like a beast all day every day you take the bike out. When you hit the mounds and pull on the throttle you will fall in love. Yamaha has always been my brand and if they keep binging it like this blue will always be in garage and truck.
Pros: Great POWER, Great BRAKES! Great HANDLING, this bike is LETHAL!! Cons: starting in cold weather, engine braking
i have owned my yz250f for almost a year. This bike is rock solid. i have had no problems with this bike for the entire time i have owned it(keep up on normal maitenance and it will run forever! air filter, chain, spark plug, oil, valves etc.). This bike has great power! i can wheelie this bike in any gear with ease( 5th gear is a little harder).once in the wheelie i feel like i can go on forever because it has got such great balance. I don't really like the engine braking because it slows me down in a motocross race but is perfect for trail riding. It takes a while(engine braking) to get used to but once you do it is no big deal. The brakes are excellent and can stop on a dime. IT is heavier than a 125 but not by much. i dont like starting it in cold weather, but that isnt that hard. This bike will pretty much take anything you throw at it, i wouldn't ride for any other brand of motorcycle.
great bike, feels like the new models! by javiyamaha02 ,Oct 07 '08
