Pros: Rich-feeling interior, confident road manners, sweet shifter, efficient design, amazing value for money. Cons: Lacks excitement, handling a little soft around the edges, engine low on torque. The Bottom Line: The TSX isn't the hard-edged sport sedan I was hoping for, but it delivers an exquisite combination of sport, luxury, and efficiency that's unheard of in the sub-$30,000 range.
My Experience I test-drove an Acura TSX 6-speed at a local dealership. My test drive lasted about forty-five minutes and covered city streets, freeways, and an isolated parking lot where I got to drive the car hard, away from traffic. ...

Pros: Refinement, upscale interior fit and finish, excellent shifter, precise handling, price Cons: Low on character, dainty shift knob, tight trunk passthrough The Bottom Line: Great choice for those who want refinement and precise handling on a budget. Those who prioritize driving excitement will find the TSX overly subtle.
Until the current generation the entry-level Acura came in two- and four-door form. Then the four door was dropped, making the TL Acura's least expensive sedan. Acura soon recognized that it needed a less expensive sedan in its line-up again, and for ...

Pros: excellent powertrain, amazing handling and brakes, nice styling, superior quality Cons: Lack of a V6 may hurt its image to some, trunk pass-through is small The Bottom Line: In the world of compact sports sedans, the TSX is a force to be reckoned with. Even without a six cylinder, this car does everything you could ever want.
So it appears that Honda is finally letting Acura have some fun. And it sure is about time. Think way back to March of 1986 when the very first Acuras went on sale. Those legends and Integras sure were sharp! Award winning too with the legend coupe comi ...

Pros: Long list of standard features Cons: No MP3 player The Bottom Line: Awesome car with all the need and want features
The 2004 Acura TSX is no RSX in handling, or TL when it comes to luxury; but it strikes hard where automotive critics claim it lags far behind: BMW's top selling 3-series line-up. I personally was in the market for a 325i until I visited Acura's web ...

Pros: Immaculate interior, every feature known to man, intuitive navigation system, potent 4 cylinder. Cons: Styling of front fascia too conservative, another 30 hp/lb ft of torque would be perfect. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an entry level luxury sport sedan, you cannot do better than the TSX for less than 30 grand.
I recently had the opportunity to drive a 2004 Acura TSX. The car was pearl white with parchment interior. It had the 5 speed Sequential SportShift "automanual" transmission and the navigation system with voice recognition. Everything else on the car (a ...

Pros: Very safe. Great control. A thrill on the highway. Cons: Too many problems to be fixed. Suspension TOO STIFF; ride rocky. Takes premium gas The Bottom Line: Thrilling in speed. Complete control. City driving too rocky. Company isn't responsive. Car in shop too much for little problems. I want a smooth car again (not
I bought the TSX in 2004, the first year it was out. I've had it in the shop (all under warranty) dozens of times (30?) in these three years. There was (& still is) one rattle after another, but I think they fixed those problems in the new editions. It's ...

Pros: VALUE VALUE VALUE!!! Interior quality, standard features, trunk space, fabulous fuel economy Cons: 4-cylinder not as refined as 6 cylinder rivals, doesn't feel like 200 horsepower The Bottom Line: Acura raises the bar for what we can expect from a sub 30,000 dollar car
When the Acura TSX first appeared in the United States during the spring of 2003 as an 04 model, it didn’t really grab my attention. The styling was pretty ordinary, as it looked very similar to the European Accords ( on which it’s based) I had seen ...

Pros: Fun, nimble handling, smooth and firm ride, quiet engine, great interior Cons: Shifting too quick at times, moon roof controls in funny place, might be chick car The Bottom Line: This car is fun to drive, with nimble handling, reasonable powered engine, and a great interior
Acura TSX I had the opportunity to drive an automatic Acura TSX for over a week. The Ride I found that the ride is smooth and firm. It isnt bouncy like the Toyota Camry. It isnt rough, like the Acura TL Type-S can be when its ...

We've been starting to think about what car will replace my wife's 1997 Audi A4 1.8T, and I suggested we look at the Acura TSX. Being a car for my wife, we value dependability, style and ease of use. Being a car guy, I value a connected, fun to drive ...

Pros: Flawless execution of the sports sedan, silky smooth engine, surgical handling, wonderful interior Cons: In a word: none. The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a perfectly balanced sports sedan, look no further. This is it.
I bought my '04 TSX about a year ago, having also considered the BMW 3-series, Infiniti G35, and Lexus IS300. Being a member of a Honda-loving family, my bias was towards the Acura and the past year has only made me love the car more. I'm a car nut ...

Pros: Value, quality, features like Xenon lights, leather seating surfaces, climate control, sunroof, CD changer, etc. Cons: Cheap quality interior, not terribly exciting drive The Bottom Line: Good if you want a "practical" choice for a near-luxury sport sedan.
I seriously considered the Acura TSX when I went shopping for a car. I wanted something not too big (like the current model Accords, Altimas and Camrys), was sporty and, most importantly, had a comfortable interior. The TSX is similar in size to the ...

Pros: Styling, Handling, Interior Quality, Decent Stereo, Outstanding 6-Speed Stick, Good MPG, Fun to Drive Cons: Needs rear wheel drive and another 40hp, or a hybrid V6. Drinks 93 Octane. The Bottom Line: Do not buy this car because I don't want it to be as common on the road as an Accord or BMW 325!
I am in my late 30's and have owned a lot of cars. Everything from big block Pontiacs to 5.0 Mustangs. I've also had two Accords, a 93EX and a 2000 EX V6. Since I do a lot of highway driving these days and I have a 3 year old daughter, I needed something ...

Pros: Fits like a glove, does what I ask, Quick enough, good handling Cons: A rattle here and there, front seat leather The Bottom Line: Nicest car I have ever owned, test one and see for yourself.
This car was a bargain used. Six speed transmission, navigation (rarely used) six disk stereo, leather, just loaded. I saw an RSX on a lot but it was an automatic, but luckily for me this six-speed was sitting right next to it. As soon as I started ...

Pros: Dash, engine, Back end, Lights, 6 speed Cons: Placement of volume control on wheel, revs a bit high at 100 MPH
The more I drive this car the more I want to drive it. I had the 99 and 2002 TL and enjoyed the car but wanted more fun. I had also purchased a 2002 Honda Civic SI-R and wanted to get back into a manual. The love the overall look of the car inside and out. Going from the TL I thought the drop in displacement would be disapointing but I just love the engine, smooth power in all gears, great passing in 5th. I test drove about 10 other cars in the TSX's class and found the overall package in the TSX was the best for me. The dash is without question one of the best I have seen in any car. The sound system is great, lights are super and it is great fun to drive.
I drove the new 2004 TL the other day and was still happy to get back into my TSX.
