Pros: Looks, size, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, kickstart option, 100 mpg, powerful and smooth ride! Cons: Weird cargo space
I received my first scooter, an Aprilia SR50, as a surprise Christmas gift from my fiance in 2005. As a female of 5'6" and having a small frame, the SR50 and I struggled from the beginning. My toes barely touched the ground at stops and I hated the way ...

Pros: Liquid Cooled 4-stroke engine, 95mpg, Looks way cooler than a Vino. Cons: Kinda slow, expensive to mod, Stock suspension, no front disc brake
I bought this scooter in May 2004 and in the past 17 mths I've driven it in year round. This scooter is great because it's super reliable and gets amazing milage plus it's very quick and well built. The only downfall to this scooter is that 49cc ...

Pros: Great fuel economy; fun to ride Cons: Suspension might be too wimpy for you
Ive owned my Ruck for one year and love it already. The best two features by far are the 100+ mpg and the fun. Yep, Im routinely getting over 100 miles per gallon (this is for a 180-lb man riding mostly rural roads at full throttle). But you ...

2005 camo ruckus
by missileer ,Dec 28 '04
Pros: light weight, bigger than normal scooter tires for dirt trails, water cooled motor Cons: price and wasted storage space under seat
needed something light to put on the front of my rv. go fishing a lot and pull a boat so needed something for the front. the ruckus is the best i could find for my purposes. starts easy, fun to ride (also ride a harley sportster), guests love to scoot around on it and of course famed honda reliability. have not had long enough to have any problems. the area under the seat is wasted space without rails or something to hold packages in. will have to do some shade tree inventing to make the space usable. unusual to find a water cooled motor on a 49cc bike. got mine for 2000 out the door including sales tax, license plates, the whole deal. sales tax here about 8%. that's for a new camo 2005.

Ruck It
by ntzr ,May 15 '06
Pros: 90 miles a gallon and the smiles and comments on the Ruck. Cons: They could get the speed up to 45 which would be safer.
I bought the Ruck one month ago. I ride to work 5 days a week in the rain, wind or shine. 10 mile trip is easy to take. 300 mile so far and it's just getting more fun.
The take off at lights is fast, sometimes faster than the cars you are behind or next to. once you get up to 25-30 it is slower to get to 37.5 MPH.
The wide tires help a lot while on the streets in St.Louis, MO. Once the snow comes I can't wait to play in the snow. The shocks could be better and softer, but I will live with it.
I would suggest the Ruckus to any and all.

07 Ruckus
by kirillirik ,Feb 16 '07
Pros: 4 stroke. 93 MPG-City. Tough as nails. Cool Looking. Nice OEM/after-market accessories. Cons: I would like to see an 80cc with disk brakes for more go/stop.
Excellent Little Ride... I give it 9/10 due to being a hair underpowered, and the dual drum brake factor... If they come up with an 80cc version with a front disk brake I would bump it to 10/10. I still managed to get mine up to 42 MPH on a long, flat stretch with no head wind. The brakes seem to work well though... for drums. I was raised on uber-fast CR dirt bikes, so I tend to beat this little guy up... jumping it on railroad crossings, bunny hopping over potholes, etc. It seems to take it like a champ. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah where the roads get beaten badly by the snow plows. The fat tires, and burley frame build are perfect for this environment. I cant wait to take it camping. As for the overall quality of the Ruckus, it certainly is a Honda... it's just done right.

2006 Ruckus is awesome
by holliejoy ,Jun 23 '06
Pros: great gas mileage, fun to drive, love the wide tires, very sturdy Cons: wasted space under the seat
After moving closer to work, I bought the ruckus to commute to and from work. I have a 2 mile trip and love the trip now! It is so fun and easy to drive! My puppy (miniature pincher) sits on the back in her carrier (she comes to work with me) and loves it too! Have spent less than $10 this month on gas, have driven up to 20 miles in one sitting and had no problem. Love it soo much I am selling my car, anyone looking to buy an Audi A4?
