Pros: Distinctive styling, great handling, smooth-revving engine, sweet transmission Cons: Distinctive styling, lack of low-end power, no input for MP3 player The Bottom Line: I only wish I drove on the kind of roads that would make such a great sports car worthwhile.
My Search: Before I get to the actual review, I just want to give some context as to what kind of car I am looking for in terms of needs and preferences. This was you'll have a better basis for how my opinion may or may not fit with your own. ...

Pros: Attractive, fun, quick, handles very well, sexy. Cons: Rotary engine lacks tons of torque. The Bottom Line: The distinct and more fun alternative to just about everything.
You've all seen them. You've all heard them. But have you all driven them? The sound of the RX8's Renesis rotary at 9,000 rpm can only be compared to a complimentary arrangement of symphonic frequencies, or in other terms, like a cigarette after sex. ...

Pros: Engine, styling, handling, comfort, and pretty much everything else. Cons: I can't afford it. The Bottom Line: If you are an adrenalin junkie, this is a car that will feed your soul. I absolutely recommend it with no reservations and would kill to own one myself.
If you read my last review, you know Id just taken a rather disappointing test drive in a Mazda3. When I returned, the salesman (a really entertaining guy) met me with a grin, hoping Id loved it. When I gave him my honest impression and told ...

Pros: Upgraded auto transmission, great price, performance, awesome color (Phantom Blue) Cons: None. Still love it! The Bottom Line: If you like having fun, buy the car. You will not regret it! This is the first car I've ever had that I am actually excited about driving.
The Story Behind the Story My husband had been bothering me about getting this car for over two years. I finally gave in just a few days ago since he tracked the exact color (Phantom Blue) and package (Automatic w/Sports Package and spoiler) ...

After a test drive you wont want to get out...

Pros: Beautiful design, extreme comfort, luxury/sport feel, 6 speed, high revs, head turner, badass looking cockpit! Cons: Low tourque >:(
I have owned many vehicles even for someone at the young age of 30. I Have even owned a sports bike the Honda CBR600 f3, bought brand new. Have owned an 88 Toyota Supra Turbo, Mustang 5.0 and many others... My friend bought a 2004 Subaru WRX STI and although its an impressive handling and accelerating car, it just wasn't as comfortable as the RX-8. It was faster, having 300 hp and all wheel drive but, the interior was not as ergonomic or as impressive looking. The Subaru is designed more as just a race car with hardly any insulation in the doors and ultra thin feeling seats. The Mazda is extremely quiet on the inside and very, very comfortable seats! The body style of the Subaru was pretty good but the RX-8 stands out in a crowd much more than many cars, including the Nissan 350z, Subaru wrx sti, the Honda s2000, 2006 mustang GT. I'd say the only one that has style close to the Mazdas is the Lancer EVO. Although the Lancer has a cheaper look to it, which it is an upgrade made from a cheaper economy car.

Pros: Sports car handling, smooth, short throw shifter, smooth power curve, best car value under $30K Cons: fuel economy, not very easy to get in and out of
I leased an RX8 in October of last year, and for the most part I couldn't be happier. The car handles like a dream, is fun to drive, and gets lots of stares.

Pros: Sporty and practical Cons: No bluetooth, 18mpg, options grouped in expensive packages
Extremely fast but still practical this car is like driving a race car. It can keep up with any car in its price range in the straights and leaves the compition in the dust whenyou hit the curves. It has a lot of head and leg room (I'm 6'4") and is a very smooth ride (especially for a sports car).
