Pros: Improved acceleration, styling, fresh interior Cons: Outrageous price, handling. The Bottom Line: The new 2006 Eclipse is a serious improvement over its most recent predecessor.
When Mitsubishi first introduced the Eclipse 16 years ago it was one of the most entertaining sport compacts on the market. The Eclipse's high fun factor lived on until the year 2000 when Mitsubishi felt that making a more civil Eclipse would boost ...

Pros: Styling, power, interior materials, front seats Cons: Torque steer, burning front rubber, driving position, too big The Bottom Line: The V6 provides very strong acceleration, but the Eclipse desperately need an all-wheel-drive system to transfer it's power to the pavement.
Last June when I went to drive the new 2006 Eclipse I had a choice: four-cylinder manual or V6 automatic. Given my strong preference for a stick, I tested the former, and found the car in need of more power. Recently I had an hour to kill near the ...

Pros: Styling, Fuel Economy, Used Price, standard safety equipment, warranty. Cons: Visibility, odd option package combinations, lack of leather with the 4 cyl. The Bottom Line: A fun efficent coupe for those with a moderate expectations.
I'm currently in a quandary over my future vehicle purchase and have been keeping my eye open to test driving cars I'm interested in at leisurely opportunities. Since I'm not looking to buy for about a year, I'll go along with friends looking to buy (I'm ...

Pros: Awesome styling, powerful V6 Cons: cheap parts, not sporty, not cheap, not fun The Bottom Line: Don't waste your money, consider some alternatives!!
I work for a Honda/Toyota dealership, so I have driven every vehicle (stick and auto) that has been on the lot. I also drive a lot of the trade-in vehicles that come in, so I have seen and driven plenty of cars in the past year or so. I know what good ...

Pros: Look, comfort, motor, torque at low rpm, controls access, low noise of heating system. Cons: Truck and/or finishing back panels sound proof. Very bad OEM tires (RE-92) The Bottom Line: Buy it! You will love it! But before, be certain that is what you need and what you want. It's not a 4x4 and it's not a smooth family car.
My best soft sport car for the price! I have Eclipse 2006 and when I was shopping... Toyota Celica or Mazda RX-8 or Ford Mustang or Nissan 350Z or Acura RSX or Cadillac CTS-V or Honda "smoking motor" Accord or Volks... ? First of all, what is my ...

Pros: Powerfull V6, Nice Solid Comfortable Ride Cons: Torque steer, and traction control that fights it. The Bottom Line: Great car needs All Wheel Drive to be a perfect car, and the Jurry is still out if 10/100,000 mile warrenty will be honored?
Overall this car is great for straight out acceleration. It has a nice sporty ride that will not test your endurance, seats are comfortable, and ride is smooth but stiff, with good road communication. You will feel bumps that might not be visible due to ...

Pros: Awesome power! Amazing speed and pick up for the money. Absolute EYE CANDY! Cons: Limited but quickly growing aftermarket. Minor bugs which are easily fixed. The Bottom Line: Buy it! Buy It! BUY IT!!!
As the proud owner of the 2G Eclipse, I was a little disappointed with Mitsubishi's offerings over the last 5 years. That all changed when the 2006 Eclipse hit the streets. Disregard the amazingly powerful engine(MIVEC makes most domestics weep with ...

Pros: Great styling, comfortable front seating, everything you need is within easy reach, fabulous sound system. Cons: Major blind spots and useless back seating for adults but perfect size for children.
I have had the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT for almost 3 weeks. I love this car! It has lot of style and plenty of power. Heads turn for this car! For the limited back seat space, they should have just made it a 2-seater.

Pros: Fast. Stylish. Awesome sound system. Ample Trunk Space. Cons: Not recommended for people who suffer from Claustrophobia.
Sporty. VERY compact. Cute & Curvy. Sweet Color. Love the indiglo lights at night. I love the 2-tone leather (mine is orange and tan)
I love the compass/temperature and clock! One of my favorite features!
Limited visibility out "side" windows and the windshield.
I do not like that the A/C light comes on when you switch the gauge to "Auto" - no matter what temperature you have the degrees set on! I am always having to turn it off!
Not much room for feet in the back seat....

Pros: style: it has plenty of it, handles like a dream, trunk space, Cons: too high for a sports style car, not much storage space in passenger compartment.
I have owned the GS 4 cyl model of this car for a couple months, It has great handling and a smooth ride. I have had no problems with lack of power even for a 4 cyl. It never fails when I stop at a red light or at the gas station people stop to ask questions.. I tell them the same thing I am telling you. the styling makes one think it can fly. it has some issues like most new cars but nothing that has left me wanting something else.
