Sufficient

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Cheap, adequate, great warranty.
Cons: Lacks basic features. Overall bad reputation. Very low end.
The Bottom Line: At this price level, have a look at Hyundai too. For a few K more, have a look at Nissan or an American dealer.

This has got to be the cheapest cars out there. You can get one for a sticker price of under $8K! Of course, there's nothing in it - no a/c, manual windows and doors, no keypad with buttons to unlock or open things, no power steering, and I'm sure the ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great gas mileage, handled beautifully, fit in any parking space.
Cons: I wish I bought mine last year.
The Bottom Line: This is an all around safe and cost efficient car. I trust my children in this car. Be smart and get one yourself. You will not regret it.

I went on vacation in California for two weeks and rented a 2008 KIA Rio. I had so much fun with this car. The gas mileage was unbeatable. It was such a nice ride. And it handles so smoothly. I usually avoid parallel parking, but with the KIA, I had ...

Pros: Auto trans smooth, quiet even at 70 mph. 36-38 mpg city 42 highway & smooth.
Cons: The Goodyear Eagle LS tires that came on vehicle is very poor. Replaced with Toyo.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend anyone to purchase a Kia product due to build quality, gas mileage, warranty and price of vehicle.

I purchased this car in May of last year, and I love it. This is really a great car. It saves me a lot of money when it comes to buying gas. I can fill it up on anywhere from $15 to $25, depending on the price per gallon. This car is perfect for high ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fun drive, great economy, very tame/forgiving.
Cons: Just a few more horses wouldn't hurt.
The Bottom Line: This might just be the flagship to put Kia on the map for good.

This vehicle truly represents Kia's coming out. Finally the reputation for cheap parts and shoddy workmanship can be laid to rest. --Appearance-- This is definitely a modern looking vehicle, on par with anything major import competitors can ...

Just bought my second one....

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Cheap, cheerful, fun.,and with a higher crash rating than you would suspect..
Cons: No cons yet.The older Rios had poor paint and thin panels.New ones better.
Drove home with our second Kia Rio,as the first one has over 300,000kms on it,or 180,000 miles, and we were thinking that it might not be the car to do a cross-America/Canada trip anymore.

The old one is still going strong, and will be the workhorse until something big breaks.Hopelessly reliable,it just keeps on going.....The new one has all the bells and whistles, its quieter, faster, and cuter, and I'm suspecting it will be exactly as reliable...

50mpg has always seemed more important than having a status symbol to drive.Cars like the Rio sell by the millions everywhere else in the world, and with good reason...
