Good for a beginner's camera only - but not at full price

by joli Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Dec 16 '00
Pros: small, light, good on batteries
Cons: poor picture quality, poor instructions, no picture monitor
A few months ago my husband decided we needed a digital camera. We ended up buying the Canon S10, which I am very happy with. He also wanted a cheap one for work, and (I'm still not sure how) he ended up talking me into getting him the Largan...

Snapshots Personified!

by davea888 , Apr 16 '01
Pros: Size, Software, Convenience
Cons: Low resolution
A couple weeks ago AOL had a pop-up ad on the opening screen showing the Largan Chameleon digital camera. I was interested because of the extremely small size and the easy payment plan they offered.

Also, the 30day free trial, money back...

Good Product - Fair Priced

by dvergallito , Feb 05 '01
Pros: easy to use, small, great software
Cons: lighting needs to be right, no LCD Display
I bought this camera for my husband for Christmas. He hadn't even asked for one, but I thought he would enjoy having one (and ok, I wanted one).

So I really wasn't willing to spend over $150.00 in the off chance that we both decided we hated...

Nice inexpensive true 1.3 MP camera

by wvsher , Dec 17 '03
Pros: Ease of use, nice photo quality, generous internal memory
Cons: Noticeable shutter lag of a couple of seconds.
I recently purchased a used one of these on eBay and am pleased with it. The resolution is true 1.3 MP, unlike some cameras in its price range that are VGA cameras that claim that you can interpolate the pics to 1.3 MP with software. The photo quality ...

Just the facts madam......

by harrymudd1st , Jan 11 '03
Pros: Small, low battery use, flash, macro mode, 60 to 90 photo capacity, good software.
Cons: No LCD, 3 buttons pushed to get past flash, low resolution, no tele lens.
Have owned this camera for almost 2 years and it is my first digital camera. It takes from 60 to 90 photos with the 8 MB built-in memory. Batteries last thru several hundred pictures, IF the flash isn't used. It is durable, although I haven't dropped ...

good entry camera

by preppystud , Sep 08 '04
Pros: good pic, it doesn't consume much of the battery power at all.
Cons: have to manually shut off the flash function every time you turn it on.
I bought this on an auction for only $27. I had bought a $10 digital camera before this one. That one uses 2 AA batteries in order to save pictures, and it doesn't have its own memory card. This one is definitely a good entry level digital camera. It ...

Why Chameleon?

by italtom , Oct 10 '01
Pros: Price and size.
Cons: Very poor resolution
The name "Chameleon" is just right for this object as it tries to camouflage itself for a real digital camera.
I bought it on the internet because the advertising was well written and attractive. The price ($130.00) seemed
right. I still like...

Best things come in Small Packages? Think again!

by rashmi338 , Jul 26 '01
Pros: Tiny size. Goes anywhere
Cons: Bad Pictures.
Largan Chameleon is certainly the smallest of its kind that I have seen. I fell in love with it the moment I laid my hands on it..

But you see, beauty is only skin deep. Largan Chameleon is perhaps the best example of it all. Picture quality...

photo quality excellent with great ease of use and conveniently fits in your pocket
by casey57 ,Jan 15 '06
Pros: Small size, uses AAA batteries, quality excellent, very convenient in every respect, good backup camera.
Cons: Controlling the flash and operating camera requires manipulating the MODE requiring a little diligence.
Anyone who cannot get a good quality pix out of the Chameleon Mega is doing something amiss. The quality is as good as it gets if you just hold the camera steady. It is a great backup camera usually ready on the spot because of its convenient size. It even has a flash and anyone would rarely lose a pix because of the light. For jog your memory cameras I use the Olympus W-10 voice recorder.

This is my second Largan...
by george_dt3002 ,Mar 22 '03
This is my second Largan camera, the first an LMini, and they're both great for the price. The C.M. earns more than it's paid. Good no-messing-around design, fasionably and comfortably small. Good web site support, too.
