Pros: Clear full sound, many features for the price Cons: Removing and replacing faceplate can be difficult
It was the dog days of July, well over 100 degrees outside, and I had a decision to make. 2-3 hours of labor removing the Pioneer DEH2300 (an outstanding unit for $140) from my old car and installing it in my new (used) car. Or a short drive to Circuit...
Pros: Features, colorful display, 50x4 MOSFET amp, flip down faceplate, XM Ready, price Cons: Tricky faceplate, weak FM signal reception, distortion at high volumes
This is a review of the DEH-P3300 model of the Pioneer CD player. It is exactly the same as the P4300 model, just without the wireless remote and second set of preamp outputs.
My old aftermarket CD player started giving out as it would take...
Pros: great sound, good price, preset functions Cons: tuner
It’s easy to overlook the Pioneer DEH-P4300 CD Player in a sea of flashy “Nintendo-like” players. It has a relatively simple face but under the hood it has what it takes.
I looked at other Players. I visited my local super electronics store,...
Pros: features Cons: kinda hard to use equalizer, basic interface
looking to update my car audio, i have searched many brands. from my observations, the majority of the brands out there all offer the detachable, fold down face that allows you to insert a cd behind. these include the similarly priced kenwood,...
Pros: Power, features, value Cons: Features, detachable face design
I looked for an epinion listing of the DEHP3300 and was surprised to not find one. The DEHP3300 is one model below the 4300, and it doesn't include the remote, or the second pre-amp output like the 4300. Pioneer has always made decent mainstream car...
Pros: Excellent unit for price / performance. Cons: Buttons are small - faceplate difficult to put back on
I bought this unit off ebay and it's crazy how much difference it made to my driving experience. The 90 corolla stock unit is horrible in comparison, and thelights and graphics are extremely nice to look at without being tacky. They really light up my...
Pros: Volume control knob, 50W power, equalizer. Cons: Small radio preset buttons, on/off button.
The unit has excellent sound quality, Pioneer generally has a solid reputation in this field. My main complaints with it are with ease of use. The on/off button is miniature (resembling a grain of rice in shape) and looks exactly like 4 other buttons....
Pros: Great sound, nice features, good FM reception Cons: Small buttons, hard to remove face plate
After owning a Blaupunkt Casablanca CD50 for a couple of weeks, I've just
traded it for the Pioneer DEH-430 - I was never able to get the blau unit to
receive FM as well as the factory unit in my 1998 subaru.
I bought a DEH-P4300 two and a half years ago and installed it in my '97 F150. The myriad of adjustments that are possible can fine tune to most tastes, although some CD's are not faithful enough to the original LP's to ever be compensated for, even by this machine. Until a few weeks ago I have not had the first problem from this unit despite the fact that I have played CD's in it almost daily since it was installed...sometimes hours of playing at a time. I drive a long way for work and rely on music to ease the travel. I work construction and have recently been working in a very dusty environment. Even with the windows closed dust gets in the truck and, unfortunately, in the CD player. I am now having trouble getting the discs to eject and have some scratched CD's as a result. This is not the fault of the deck!
Pros: great when new Cons: use it for a few months...you don't even get your money out of it
I bought this head unit for my car, it was very easy to install as well as operate. It was like putting toast in a toaster. Fit was perfect. It was not too much money, when new was fantastic. I had no problems with the unit, even driving over railroad tracks it did not skip while driving. The unit is right now 9 months old and skips all the time, its horrible when driving and its useless with Compact Disc's. I thought I was getting something that would last me and my wife the one year we average with our cars, but this unit has really let me down. I am actually very disappointed with Pioneer, that they would actually sell something like this. I was happy when I bought it, but if I knew 9 months ago what I would have now, I would have spent $600.00 on a Sony.
