I use these speakers for my patio area, we have a large deck and wanted something that can deliver for a party or play soft background for a laid back night - these small speakers do both very well - in fact the bass coming from them was a bit bigger than I expected. I purchased them from a internet vendor - in white and replaced the front panel easily for outdoor use. I mounted them under the eaves - there was no mounting plates provided but there is many different mounting options at the rear with slotted holes. Basically I am very happy with my choice.
