Pros: Great book, unforgettable characters, classic Cons: none as far as I can see
I first read A Wrinkle in Time on the demand of my French tutor, whom I adored. She gave me a list of her favorite books from when she was my age, (at the time she was a senior in High School) as we often exchanged ideas on books we'd read, both being...

Pros: Nice book Cons: none
A wrinkle in time was one of my favorite books as a child. It is creative, well written and descriptive. Plus, I love the general story line and plot! And, I can very well say that I couldn't put down this book. The story of young Meg, and her brother...

Pros: very exciting, no sex, little violence, Cons: far-fetched plot, need to keep an open mind.
A Wrinkle in Time is a great book blending fantasy with modern day life. Meg, her brother, and Calvin (Meg's boyfriend) set out on a journey to save their father; they don't know where he is or how he got there. You see, Meg's family isn't ordinary,...

Pros: Everything in the book Cons: The villains motives
A wrinkle in time was the very first novel I had ever read as a child. It not only captured my imagination but also was a dear dog eared friend on those long cold nights when my parents were in the process of divorcing. This book is not your typical...

Pros: Wonderful read! Keeps kids interested. Cons: None that I know of
I first read this book when I was about 11 years old. It is one of my all time favorites and I have to admit I still read this book once a year.
Charles, Meg and the others are wonderful children. Smart children who don't quite fit in and...

Pros: Great characters, good lessons, interesting plot Cons: some people might object to religious tones
When I was given this book as bonus project at school, I thought they were nuts. They were going to reward me by giving me more work to do? By the end of the first sentence, I was ready to hug my teacher.
If you don't like Science Fiction or...

Pros: It got my daughter to enjoy reading Cons: I honestly can't think of any
I first discovered this book when I was a pre-teen. I do not remember the circumstances, but I immediately fell in love with it. Up until that point, I hated to read, but suddenly I could not get enough. I made my mom check it out from the library so...

Pros: Imaginative Cons: not for the less cerebral
My fifth grade teacher read to us from this book every day. I fell in love with it and read "A Wind In The Door", "A Wrinkle In Time", and "A Swiftly Tilting Planet".
What's great about this book is that it will...

Pros: good reading, easy to understand Cons: none
This is a totally awesome book for preteens. My 11 year old loved it. It is a great introduction in to the world of science fiction allowing for imagination and at the same time allowing for the understanding they aren't alone in the insecurities they...

Pros: Makes you think. Cons: None I could see
A Wrinkle In Time is a very interesting book and makes you, the reader, think. It has great discussions on tesselations and things of that sort. I remember first reading it in 4th grade, it was great. The characters are pretty neat and each one is...

Pros: A Wonderful read. Mind-expanding and captivating. Cons: None.
I was nine years old when I first picked up A Wrinkle In Time, and it was so fascinating that I couldn't put it down. I didn't understand some of it, though, so I waited a couple of years before I picked it up again just to make sure I could read the...

Pros: Well written, teaches good values, makes readers evaluate beliefs Cons: not long enough
This book as well as the rest of the set by Madelene L. Ingall is the finest writing of science fiction I have found. You will find these books
in the public grade schools and Jr. High schools but don't let that discourage you from reading them....

One of the Greatest Books Written
by twelvesilver ,Jan 02 '04
Pros: Great plot, great characters, great author. Cons: None
Madeline L'Engle sets us out on a journey with some very ordinary travelers in a very extraordinary situation-with one very special little boy in the center of it all. If you like sci-fi at all, this book is for you. The imagination of the author is beyond impressive. A whole new way of life (a whole new planet!) is presented to the reader, and is very smoothly expanded upon. This is the first sci-fi book I ever read, and I have been highly intruiged by science fiction ever since. Enjoy!
