Fingersave Keeper Gloves: Halleluiah!

by mrb129 , Jan 04 '01
Pros: help prevent injury to the finger, good padding
Cons: can't bend FORWARD as well
**I hope I'm reviewing the right thing. I have Adidas Fingersave gloves but I'm not sure that they are "Liga". Mine are bright yellow, not black. Sorry for the confusion; I bet these two gloves are very similar if not identical.**

The definition of a great glove

by smadakcin , Dec 12 '01
Pros: Great grip, gives you a strong 'hand' when blocking shots.
Cons: Take a while to get used to, need considerable wearing in.
I have worn a number of gloves over the last few years, and they have all had their pros and cons, all excelling in different areas. This is the first glove without a serious weakness in its performance that I have come across. I am ...

Training vs. Match Play: Weighing the variables.

by goosegod , Jun 23 '01
Pros: Excellent protection against various finger injury. Reinforced fingers also aid in enhancing catching ability.
Cons: Durasoft foam would be suitable for beginner match play, but otherwise better-suited for training.

When one purchases a pair of goalkeeper gloves, many variables must be considered. These variables include but are not limited to: Will these gloves be used primarily for match play or training? What type of foam is the palm constructed of? How...

How physical are you?

by kozeyc , Dec 20 '99
Pros: Good grip, protective, effective, comfortable
Cons: durability
I have been a goalkeeper for many of years. I have worn the top of the line, to whatever my wallet would allow me. I have gone from Uhlsport, to stuff supplied to me by school, to Adidas, and even Nike. I have seen the best of the best, and the worst...

Great Gloves

by Cowdenbeath , Dec 31 '00
Pros: The best gloves on the market
Cons: you need time to adjust to the spines
I was a pro footballer in England and Scotland for over 20 years and these gloves are the best I have ever bought. I have always liked adidas gloves a almost all throughout my career I used them. They just blow the other competition away, the only other...

Liga doesn't mean better

by hoya , May 23 '00
Pros: Dark color good for training, Fingersave system prevents overextension of main four digits
Cons: Foam could provide better grip, not very long lasting
In the messy business of Football Keeper, the gloves make all the difference. Being a varsity goalie, I have always wanted to be sure I had the best gloves. After years of practice and sampling I learned two very important things. One is that Adidas...

Lustrous Ligas.

by AndrewMunson , Sep 12 '00
Pros: Good grip, feel and look.
Cons: Velcro wrist too big.
I purchased these new gloves in August 2000, last month. They attracted my eye because of the stylish looks and the cool colour. But they aren't the only good things about the Ligas.
The re-inforced spines on the fingers give an amazing protection...

What a difference your gloves make

by Putt4295 , Jan 09 '00
Pros: Comfortable finger supports
Cons: Not much
I've played goalie for 13 years now and for my senior year of high school, I used these gloves by recommendation from my coach. Wow! I was unsure about using gloves with finger support because I worried about my fingers feeling stiff. It was not like...

Once you go fingersave, you won't go back

by GKiverson3 , Jul 15 '00
Pros: grip, durability, injury prevention
Cons: price
As a long time goalie, i have worn many different types of goalie gloves. My favorite by far is the fingersave Liga's. These gloves have a grip that is superior to most, and are as durable as any glove on the market. The best quality these gloves...

Golden gloves

by vandy , Jul 04 '00
Pros: fingers are sticky and a bit stiff to block those hard shots
Cons: a bit of a stiff glove which can cost you a bit of time to grasp
I'm a goalie for a 20-30 year old team, so I've been playing for a while and I of all people should know about finger-tip saves. At my age and skill level, the shots fired at me are more than normal gloves can take, and cant be held onto very well. When...

lets get tender

by thrifthtml , Jan 15 '00
Pros: durable, good looking, water proof
Cons: costly
I found these gloves to be perfect for all different types of weather. When it's rainy and the ball is very slippery, you can count on these gloves to keep that slick ball right where you want it, in your hands. Also they protect your hand very well, you...
