Pros: Works fast on multiple symptoms Cons: Costs more, can cause drowsiness
I first bought Aleve to help reduce some swelling I was having. A friend had recommended it. I was amazed at how well Aleve worked. I was warned that I would have minimal swelling no matter what I took. With Aleve, I had almost no swelling at all....

Pros: Highly effective Cons: Irritates stomach; expensive
Having used this product since before it was available over the counter I know it quite well. Simly put it works. The major competition really doesn't work as well for general everyday aches and pains in your joints. Neither, Aspirin, Tylenol,...

Pros: Absolutely Relieves Pain Cons: More expensive than other pain relievers, but definitely worth it
Aleve vs. Excedrin...Aleve or Excedrin...What a decision! What is a pill anyway? Will it help me? Will my everlasting pain cease? What will a pain pill do for ME !
I have to take pills -pain relievers. Taking pills is not my problem. Taking...

Pros: took the pain away Cons: not all day
The manufacturer's claim that this is the same stuff as Naprosyn. They claim that it works as well and lasts all day. I found all those claims to be false.
I tried Aleve because of some lower back pain. I thought--all day relief with only 2...

Pros: works quickly, longer lasting than other pain relievers Cons: not tolerated well by some people
I suffer from stress headaches. Not on the magnitude of migraines, but still the kind that can put you off your feet for several hours at the time. Being a busy mom of two young boys, I don't have a lot of time to spend lying on the couch nursing a...

Pros: powerful pain relief, no stomach irritation Cons: none observed
Having had the misfortune of dislocating my shoulder about 8 years ago, I occassionally get really painful crippling flare ups that render me useless. If you suffer from arthritis or other joint ailments you know what I'm talking about... your joint...

Pros: Best Over the Counter I have found for migraines, menstrual cramping Cons: Still not perfect
People who don't suffer from migraines tend to think that those who do are lying. Or at least exaggerating. But after spending three or four days a week curled in a ball, with tears seeping out of my eyes, I know that a migraine is nothing to make fun...

Pros: Great for "womanly" pain Cons: Takes some time to work
My first experience with the medicine in Aleve was actually in its prescription form after battling some fairly severe menstral cramps, which it treated marvelously...so when I heard that the stuff was going to be offered in a lower- dose,...

Pros: Effective, long-acting Cons: May upset an empty stomach
I wanted to let everyone know that Aleve used to be prescribed by doctors under the name Anaprox. It was prescribed for menstrual cramps, and out of all the pain relievers I had tried, it really worked for those uncomfortable days of the month. It...

Pros: IT WORKS! Cons: Possible stomach irritant.
Naproxen sodium (the generic for Aleve) is the only pain reliever I have found that works for my heavy duty pains. I am a pretty big guy (260 lbs) and a lot of times medicines do not seem to have much of an impact on me, but all I need to do is take 2 of...

Pros: 1 pill for 8 hours, pill is small in size Cons: can only take 1 pill every 8 to 12 hours.
Aleve helps to get rid of some aches and pains. For me, it's effective on tooth aches and head aches.
For tooth aches, especially, it's helpful to numb the area with an tooth ache gel/liquid first. The pill seems to kick in rather quickly...
