Pros: No Annual Fee
Grace Period
Very reasonable APR Cons: Preset line of credit means you don't have unlimited spending ability.
"Blue" is definitely one of the more marketed American Express products, and it remains a popular sale--unlike the traditional American Express charge cards, which must be paid off in full each month, the Blue family of cards work more like traditional...

Pros: Amex Blue Card offers a fixed 9.9 interest rate that never changed in 6 years. Cons: Amex Representative enticed me to change my card, untruthfully stating I could switch back anytime.
My American Express Blue Card had a 9.9 interest rate that never changed. This particular Amex Card had a monthly minimum payment due. An American Express Phone Sales representative deceived me into "upgrading my card" at no cost from the American ...

Pros: Used to be a good Company and provide good service Cons: If you expect consideration in Customer Service go elsewhere
Be careful with using the new American Express. I was a Customer for 20+ years and recently had a card turned off, when I investigated why I found some interesting facts: 1) Any problem with any Amex card affects all Amex cards (says so on their ...

Get Blue - American Express
by command73 ,Oct 18 '03
Pros: Flexible, cool look, rewards, No annual fee Cons: Took a month to get, not every body takes it
This Blue for business credit card is my favorite card. I have others but this one is so cool looking. I have a small business and often when I am paying for a business dinner people from other tables will ask me "Hey is that the new blue?"
I also like the flex spend feature. Some months I am not able to pay the full amount of the Credit card. The folks from American Express are nice to deal with on disputes too. Get discounts at Staples, Exxon, United Airlines, vacations.
I actually was able to shop around for the best deal on this specific card at
http://www.creditcardzone.net
Hope this helps you choose.

Be Diligent When Closing Account
by webars ,Jun 17 '04
Pros: Service is fine while account is open Cons: AMEX allows charges to post months after an account has been closed.
Service was excellent until I closed my account. Though my account had been closed for 6 months, AMEX allowed a charge (a recurring vendor charge made in error) to come through on the account. They actually defended their policy of allowing charges to post to a closed account, regardless of how long the account has been closed.
I believe this policy is in place to justify re-opening an account without the cardholder's explicit permission to do so.
Because of this issue, I would not recommend this card.

American Express Blue Review
by kellytelly ,Feb 05 '04
Pros: Sleek and cool looking. 5% cash back :) Cons: NONE!
I applied for and was approved for the Blue from American Express. I followed the advice of the Epinions member hank and went to :
http://www.creditcardzone.net/american.express.blue
Here are my thoughts. I have had the card for a month and I love it. I take it on runs with me and if I need to hit the store I can use the smart chip to do it.
I also like the futuristic look of the card.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
by sparks7758 ,May 29 '08
Pros: Website layout Cons: Customer service/ Customer service/ Customer service
YOU ARE WORTH NOTHING TO THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE A BALANCE AND USE THE CARD CONSTANTLY EVEN IF YOU HAVE BEEN WITH THEM FOR YEARS!!!! GO ELSEWHERE 2 late charges (only $40 total)were charged to my account during a dormant time when I was utilizing a different card with a better rate. Balance was zero for several months until some misc fraudulent charge popped up which I was able to reverse from that company. This caused late charges to accrue which I felt should be reversed because if was caused my this misc charge. When I called to get these reversed the supervisor basically told me if there was more spending then they could have possibly done so but because I haven't use the service that she won't be able to. Basically spend money on your card and if not we don't care if we lose you as a client. I will no longer be using my employers amex where I do charge thousands.
