Pros: Mushrooms, popovers. Flawless cooking and service. Great view. Cons: Cooking lacks artistry. No zest for life, no creative spark.
Medieval Times is great, as tacky concept restaurants go. Build a cinder-block "castle", serve people roast game hen and soup, give them a show of stunt jousting and stage swordsmanship, and everyone's had fun, even though we all know that ...
Pros: Best place to bring your Grandmother in Boston Cons: Food is just average
Anthony's Pier 4 is a Boston institution. It's one of those places that is famous for being famous. It's a large place with nice fireplaces inside and lots of windows that show off the gorgeous view of Boston harbor. And sometimes, Anthony the owner,...
Pros: Food, atmosphere, service, wine list Cons: Prices can be high
I have two perspectives on Anthony's Pier Four. I am a Boston resident, and when younger, I was a waitress at Anthony's and got to know the restaurant very well. Here are my feelings about the restaurant:
Pros: good food, good service Cons: You need to drive or take a cab to get there
A former boss - who I am still very fond of - used to take his staff here for our festive holiday lunches. It really was an event. Would would all troop over there and withe harbor as a backdrop celebrate another year together.

Pros: nice waiter. fantastic deep dish blueberry pie! certainly not crowded. Cons: the place is a dump, outside, walking in i said ' oh my god'.
the food was certainly not horrible, but, definitely not worth the money. the place is a little more than worn around the edges. we were there on a sunday afternoon, bright daylight, my god they should spend a little money on the place. all our steaks were overdone, the swordfish was a teeny little piece for $26 and overdone as well. the only thing i could come up with is they really do not care about this place and must be planning on closing.
