Pros: Compact design, Nice picture, Good price. Cons: 90 day warranty
Was looking for an under cabinet TV and came across this unit at Best Buy. I was a little leery to purchase this after reading other reviews though. After looking online for the best price I learned that this unit was no longer available at most stores. ...

Pros: under the counter television and radio Cons: poor quality picture and sound
I've been looking for a compact television to fit under my kitchen cabinet for some time. So when I saw the audiovox with a 6.4 inch flip up screen including am/fm radio, handsfree phone and remote control I was sold. Although the price was steep at...

Pros: Big screen, thin profile, nice features Cons: 90 day warranty, sound quality, picture quality very touchy, install difficult
I bought this in January. After 5 months two channels don't receive signal. Customer service explained repair charge will be about 40 percent of purchase price. Ouch! I missed the fact that is only has a 90 day warranty. I think that reflects on the...

Super Unit....Highly Recommend
by kena999 ,Apr 27 '04
Pros: Slick looking....good performance Cons: Tough install (two man job)...
I bought this unit for my wife for Xmas.....I couldn't pry it out of her dead hands now....She loves it. We have seven foot projection in the family room and she and the kids would rather stay in the kitchen and watch the little screen at the sink. The picture quality is excellent and cable tv reception is good. It has a slick little remote for channel and volume, some channel preset buttons on the front panel for quick switching to CNBC or weather channel. It turns alot of heads, too, because of the flat screen aspect, and the fact that people arent used to seeing this type of technology in the kitchen. It also frees up alot of counter space! The other guy reviewing mentioned a difficult install, which I cant argue with, but you only have to do it once! A definite buy!

The perfect kitchen tv, with...

The perfect kitchen tv, with a screen that pulls down and swivels around for different viewing angles. Excellent visual quality, but speakers have a tinny sound and go out the back. Still, a good choice for the kitchen, you get used to the sound.

I second all the bad reviews
by hvsteve1 ,Aug 02 '05
Pros: Built in speaker phone. Cons: Incredible junk.
I've had this for about a year. The sound developed problems early on and the picture started to develop problems. It seems the cable jack started to loosen. Now,the F connector has come completely off. I opened the unit (what have I got to lose) and found that the F connector was not wired in but connected to the circuit board by a thin metal strip. As the connector wobbled, the strip broke. The connector also appeared to have no real means of support inside the set. I can't believe the shoddy construction and quality.

Scared to continue using it.

Pros: Neat look, Neat features. Cons: Should have been more quality (and lasted longer) for the price.
Have had and enjoyed the unit for only about 2 years now. Rarely ever flip the screen up because didn't want to make the flimsy hinge loose. But was cleaning the counter the other day and tried to flip screen up into the housing. Wouldn't catch because something inside the unit has gotten so hot that it has melted and warped the plastic housing on the unit pretty bad. Now I'm scared to use the thing. I called Audiovox, not expecting any kind of warranty assistance, but for possible recall info or at least some advice. The guy says to send back to NY at a flat fee of $135. Add to that packaging and shipping and I could buy a new one at Circuit City for around $200. No thanks.
