Pros: Design
Cons: Loud
From the moment that I saw this Smoothie maker on a commercial, I knew I had to have it. Now that I have the item I am not quite as impressed with it. Don't get me wrong it has some positives, but this time the negatives out-way the positives. First ...

Don't spend the money
by heysuz517 ,Aug 31 '04
Pros: Design allows fruit to flow toward the blade. Stirring wand is an additional help.
Cons: Overall construction and design are very very poor. Very noisy.
I was extremely disappointed with this smoothie maker. At first, it appeared to be the perfect machine. But shortly after purchasing it I had problems.

Immediately I had a leakage problem from the spigot.
After 4 uses the spigot valve broke off completely.
After 11 uses only, the blade quite turning completely and the motor started smelling of burned plastic. At this point I took the whole unit and tossed it in the trash.

It Died!!!
by jb5578 ,Jun 27 '04
Pros: Worked well for three months.
Cons: Too much hand-washable plastic. Died in 4 mos.
The Smoothie Pro 700 worked well for a few months last summer and made great smoothies. I was not, however, happy about having to hand wash the container and felt that the construction did not look too durable.

It turns out I was right. In spite of the fact that I never made more than one serving, and only used it once or twice a day for less than four total months (I stored it during the winter), today it appears to have died.

PROBLEMS WITH THE SP700C
by juicelover ,Jul 23 '05
Pros: EASY FILL, GREAT LOOKS, FAIR PRICE
Cons: PARTS BREAK, SPOUT HARD TO CLEAN, NEEDS TO BE HELD DOWN WHEN IN USE
A few months back, I purchased your model SP700C Smoothie blender. I am well satisfied with most operations.
It seems to have a slight difficulty when ice chips are included with the fruit mixture. Also, frozen fruits do not work very well either.
It could be more user friendly with cleanup of the spout. It is very difficult to get all the food out of the glued on spout. Also, the handle of the spout is too flimsy, mine broke and can't be used, have to pour the mixture.
So far, I can find no place to get another handle for my unit. Parts to repair the blade unit would be helpful if available. The blades freeze up and have to be taken apart and cleaned.
Another slight problem is having to hold down the tank while blending as it wants to ride up at times.
Overall, the quality is on the average of about 7 out of 10.

Try Another Brand
by auntprecious ,May 28 '05
Pros: I like how you serve from the bottom where all the goodies are mixed thoroughly
Cons: After 2 months of use, the motor works, but the unit no longer spins.
I have now owned two of the B2B blenders. Both lasted me about 2 months. When the first died, I thought my son (who used it daily) just did not make sure that it was seated completely before starting causing to teeth to chip. So, with him now gone off to war, I bought another.

I like the idea of the unit! I like how you serve from the bottom where all the goodies are mixed well, so I wanted another. I make very basic smoothies with a few (small) ice cubes,a cup of milk, one container of yogurt and a banana or a few strawberries. So, in other words, the unit did not have to do major work.

After 2 months of use (4-5 days per week), the motor works, but the unit no longer spins. I used it and I am sure it was seated correctly onto the base during operation, so it is not my son's fault.

My advice - buy another unit. I have had two and each met the same fate! they last just long enough that you can no Longer take it back to the store for replacement. coincidence?

Save your money! Piece of junk...
by castaways01 ,Aug 13 '06
Pros: Nice looking and a good concept.
Cons: Bottom unscrews itself...huge mess! Bottom rubber self destroys when container unseats while blending.
Unfortunately last Christmas I bought five of these as gifts for relatives and nearly all had similar problems. The bottom comes off while in use although screwed on tightly, creating a huge mess; The blender container also unseats itself and the rubber underneath burns up. Seems like a design problem, for sure. The bottom rubber on mine is so destroyed it can't be used anymore. Stay clear of this product and consider a high quality blender instead!
