Pros: Very good, inexpensive Mexican food. Cons: Somewhat noisy, self-service restaurant. Not a place to linger.
Boca Grande is a Mexican restaurant with two locations in Cambridge and one in Brookline, Massachusetts. I am very familiar with the one on Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge between Harvard Square and Porter Square. It is a very informal,...

Pros: yummy burritos Cons: inconsistant and annoying lines, inconsistant and annoying burrito chefs
I work right next to Boca Grande and love their burritos, but sometimes the place is just downright annoying.
First thing, at lunch time, the line to get in is huge, ok, that's understanable, it's lunch time! But they collect the $$$ first,...

Pros: Best burrito in the Boston area Cons: Inconsistent ordering procedure (but it's not that big of a deal, really)
Boca Grande makes, without a doubt, the best burrito in the Boston area. I work near Kendall Square and we like this place so much we go to Boca almost every day for lunch. Not only are the burritos great, they're cheap -- $3.75 plus tax! Extras such...

Pros: Cheap, Yummy, Fast Cons: Long lines sometimes - ambiance
I love the fact that you can get great food quickly, cheaply, and healthfully. I highly recommend carnitas burritos. At $3.75 for a huge burrito (with rice, cheese, salsa, meat, beans and optional hot sauce) - it is a great deal! Getting a regular...

Pros: Fresh food, good prices, fast service, lively atmosphere. Cons: Sometimes extremely busy at lunch time, no frills, sometimes tables need to be cleaned.
Boca Grande is a great place to go for a quick, cheap lunch. The burritos are the best in Cambridge coming in at only about $5. The grilled chicken burrito grande is your best bet, but other selections such as beef or bean and cheese are also...

Pros: Fast fresh Cons: BUSY at lunch -- long lines on 1st St.
Boca Grande - one between Porter & Harvard and one on First St. in Cambridge.
Boca Grande is one of the best quick lunch or dinner places in Cambridge.
The decor isn't fancy AT ALL and your burrito comes alone on a plate or wrapped in...

Pros: Lemonade, fried chicken Cons: burritos, salsa
This is not a place where you would go for the ambience. This is like a cafeteria in almost every way except for the food. You wait in a line to order food, which will arrive in minutes, and meanwhile you can snack on the basket of warm tortilla...

Intolerable service
by mischaliten ,Jul 15 '05
Pros: OK food Cons: horrible service
It's a shame, because the food is OK. But one nasty server has made me so uncomfortable ordering there that I will never come back.
He insists on speaking Spanish to his female customers and taunt them if they don't understand and ask to be spoken to in English. He never does this to male customers - they are served in English.
It is so uncomfortable ordering from this guy, I will never set my foot in this place ever again.
