Pros: great scent, works very well, all natural Cons: more expensive than most brands
When my wife and I planned our wedding/honeymoon in Fi
ji,
we understood some things were to be expected - no TV, a long flight and that we would encounter bugs (if you go to the South Pacific, they grow 'em big). But ...
Pros: NON TOXIC, smells sweet, repels insects Cons: None
I am a huge proponent of natural and safe alternatives to common pesticides that are on the market. As a parent of two young children who are very active and enjoy outdoor activities I have found that finding alternatives to battle mosquito's is quite a...
Pros: Extremely pleasant and refreshing Cons: Not effective
I can't resist buying new yuppie products. Being on the ritzy side of Maryland didn't help, and I decided to hit some of the natural food stores to see what new innovations I'd been missing since my move to Venice. Filled up a cart with all kinds of...
Pros: it works!; natural ingredients and no harsh chemicals Cons: not everyone likes the smell.
It may seem very odd, but I bought a bottle of Burt's Bees Lemongrass Insect Lotion as much for my cat as I did for myself. My cat, Phoebe, is highly sensitive to most insect repellents and I'm unable to use most flea & tick products on her. Since...
Pros: All natural, great scent, works very well Cons: Lotion--not for use on clothing, finding product
Another great product from Burt's Bees that I'm more than happy to review. Burt's Bees produces great all-natural products from lotions and lip protection to a great new line of baby products.
Pros: Effective, smell is light and lemony, no dangerous chemicals Cons: If you like a spray this isn't for you, a little oily
I love the smell of this stuff. Why the bugs don't I just don't know. It smells a little like pledge, only not so chemically. Mosquitoes LOVE me, really. They bite me all over, especially my wrists, calves and ankles. If no one else in the ...
Pros: all natural Cons: not easy to apply without a spray bottle
I do not like to put harsh chemicals on my children. DEET is not recommended for young children, and just about ALL commercial insect repellents have DEET. I read that if it is below a certain percentage, then it is safe, but I DO NOT take chances with...
A pleasent insect repellent but surely not the most powerful. by holidayhoo ,Dec 14 '04
Pros: Pleasent scent as compared to others. Somewhat effective. Cons: Oily hard to use. Bad pump. Not effective as some insect repellents. Expensive.
This oil was somewhat hard to use because of the pump..... it is very greasy and a little doesn't go a long way... that being said it is veryhard to find natural insect repellents and although you may still get a couple of bites I think it did greatly reduce my exposure to moquitos etc. (ticks ants etc.) ...... :) Nice on animals as well i.e. (i.e. dogs) you can also put it on their collars. Scent is very pleasent as compared to chemical insect repellents.... which I believe are borderline dangerous......
