Pros: Small dosage Cons: It doesn't work very well.
Finding an allergy/cold medicine that would work for my 14 year old daughter has been quite a challenge. For years, Dimetapp worked great for my kids, but as the years went on, it seemed to work less and less. I usually take Benadryl...
Pros: relieved some allergy symptoms Cons: didn't relieve all the symptoms, bad side-effects
It was snowing last week. Oh, not enough to have to pull out the shovels, but enough to make MumMumMum utter words that most of my regular readers don’t think MumMumMum has ever heard before! Today? Ah, such a beautiful day today! Green grass, buds...
Pros: Stops burning/itching eyes, runny nose and opens breathing passages Cons: Over dries sinuses, causes drowsiness and can have serious side effects with MAOI's.
I have severe springtime allergies. I am allergic to certain grasses and tree pollen so spring is my least favorite season. I wake up with burning and itching eyes that will not stop until I take something for it. I get bloody noses and I sneeze my ...
Pros: Inexpensive OTC Over The Counter drug. Cons: Potential health risks outweigh its use.
Does your nose run this time of year? Do you feel like your head is stuffed with cotton and it's hard to think straight? Does your throat feel like it was scratched with straw? Do you suffer from allergies? I do.
Pros: Fast, effective nasal decongestant Cons: Works too well at times
As I have been plagued with allergies and asthma since I was 18-months-old, sinus troubles and nasal congestion are common with me. Fortunately, there are a few products out there that have kept such nastiness in check for years.
Pros: Helps Decongest Respiratory Passageways and Reduce Histamine Action Cons: Dangerous To Individuals With Certain Health Problems Or On Certain Drug Therapies
Both Actifed and Sudafed are advertised as "cold and sinus" medications, but which one will work best for your particular ailment?
Each of the two products contains the same nasal decongestant "Pseudoephedrine HCL",...
I live in the Southeastern U.S., which is plagued by a ton of pollen. As a result, it seems like I am always battling allergies and usually get a full-fleged sinus infection at least twice a year. I've tried Sudafed, Benadryl, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, a ...
Pros: Worked miraculously for a sinus infection. Cons: makes me drowsy, but love the sleep.
I tend to have a problem with sinus infections. I have been to allergists, ENT doctors, and have had an MRI done on my sinuses. For the past week, I've had a sinus infection and had been using very expensive prescription medications; a steroid...
Pros: Small tablets, easily swallowed, fast acting Cons: High blood pressure patients shouldn't take this.
I am, or I should say, I was an actifed user. Actifed is the over the counter medicine I always reached for when I had hay fever or a common cold. It works wonderfully with one draw back.
I suffer from high blood pressure. Mine is out of...
Towards the end of the Summer I am cursed with terrible allergies. There is no room for any air to pass through my nose and sometimes I can hardly swallow. The pressure on my sinuses is almost unbearable, and the headaches this causes feels like a vise...
Body Chemistry varies by the individual by thebuckster ,Dec 08 '05
Pros: Taken as directed it relieves sinus, and chest congestion. Cons: This product can not be taken before driving and may cause sleepiness.
I used actifed cold and sinus and the ingredients kept me up and did nothing to help my symptoms. I have tried the Bendadryl allergy & sinus, and various other brands over the last 12 years.
The only product that works for me is the Actifed cold and allergy. It relieves my nasal congestion, opens up the constriction in my chest, and helps me to sleep. I would not take this medication and go to work or drive however it is extremely effective in relieving my symptoms. I have used the product on severe sinus headaches and on severe head and chest congestion.
I would rate this product ten stars if it was possible, because it relieves all of my symptoms.
