Pros: Great Value, good performance, all the ports you'd ever need Cons: Silver exterior, too much preinstalled software
I actually bought the Presario 910US.
In the past, I've been pretty loyal to HP products. With HP buying Compaq, I felt like buying a Compaq would be a compromise worth taking. The performance/$$ was as good a value as I could find. The...
Pros: Wow... we paid less then $900 for this Cons: Haven't found a thing to complain about
Our Compaq Presario 900 laptop is wonderful. Watch the stores for discounts or rebates. Ours was less then $900 including tax. It does everything the more expensive models do. Ours included an ac cord, battery and CD creating software. Already installed...
Pros: Smooth acting touchpad. Great Sound. Very high definition display. Cons: It is an ugly utilitarian color and shape.
I had to spend a lot of hours searching for function, quality and price. Once I made my mind up on the minimum requirements I picked the Compaq 900US. Part was cost, $1399 - $250.
I have had 2 Toshiba's and 2 Compaq's and was serviced well...
After almost 4 years with a Compaq 400 Mhz laptop it was now time to upgrade. I was happy with my former unit but its capacity was maxed out completely. I was at the point of deleting much needed software just to get by. Well after shopping around,...
This is a beautiful, functional, wonderful laptop. I love the 15 inch display and it can be seen from different angles. Volume controls are right on the front where you can get to them. I haven't used the dvd/cdrw functions yet but just having that...
Pros: This baby has it all. Watch your movie in the bathroom! Cons: Battery does not last long at all...2 hours at best.
I absolutely love it. It has dropped the jaw of every friend who has seen or used it. This thing may as well be attached to me, because I take it everywhere I go. It has ultra clear resolution and you can modify the onboard 16 Meg video card to 64 Meg...
Pros: The Athlon XP 1700, Sleek look, comfortable to type on Cons: It gets hot.. but the integrated 2 fans rarely come on to cool it.
Overall this notebook has been the best I've purchased. I've had nothing but problems with IBM and I was nervous about buying a Compaq, but apparantly with HP buying out Compaq, this shouldn't be an issue. The most impressive thing to me on this notebo ...
Pros: Beautiful screen, fast, affordable. Cons: None, I love this thing.
I bought my Compaq Presario 906US from Circuit City the day after Christmas. It cost $999.99, and after a $100 dollar rebate it was $900. This laptop is not at all top of the line but was wonderful upgrade for me because it was relatively cheap and...
Pros: DVD, CD writer, great sound Cons: medium weight
After a new HP laptop that would not power on, I went back to Circuit City and purchased what I though was a lesser laptop. I was wrong. This is a very fine product.
A few good things:
The sound is impressive.
Touchpad, 4...
Pros: Ergonmic

Keyboard
DVD/CD-RW

Speakers

All ports in back
I originally purchased a Sotec 3120x because it was so small and inexpensive, but it died on me five weeks later, and there wasn't another one to be had by Office Depot. Here's where extended warranties really pay for themselves! Anyway, I reluctantly...
Pros: Price, very large screen and great all-rounder Cons: Need TLC, did not come ready (need patches to run properly)
I bought this laptop refurbished from Computer4Sure.com at $799 shipped half a year ago, in one word, cheap. It came in brand-new condition and it has been working great ever since. It has a powerful AMD Athlon M 1700+ processor with 256Mb of RAM ...
I bought this computer from a friend used. Since I had good luck with Compaqs in the past, I figured it would be well worth the money, but I could not have been more wrong. This machine had more problems than any I have ever owned. That said, I will ...
Pros: Large Clear Display
Best Sound I've ever heard on a Laptop Cons: Very Chincy quality
I've had this computer for 3 months and have nothing but trouble with it. I ordered this computer with the largest most expensive display and it started to develop spots where the pixals won't light up after 3 weeks. I find this very annoying. The...
Pros: Good price.Worked good for about a month. Cons: HP Service is absolutely the worst I've ever experienced. They're uncaring and totally incompetent
Like Creygen I Bought a 906 at Circuit City around Christmas time. It work flawlessly for about a month. It suddenly stopped booting and had to be returned to HP for service. HP graciously sent it right back without touching it. They said their tech coul ...
I have no problems at all with this awesome computer by tbox15 ,Dec 22 '04
Pros: fast reliable nice color great graphics nice sized hard drive Cons: NO CON'S AT ALL!
This computer is the best thing that has happened to me. I have absolutely no problems with it at all. I am running windows xp home with sp2. I don't know what the heck everybody else is saying about the con's, because I can't find a single one. I love the preloaded software, I love the speed, the look, the features and everything else about it. I installed a 30GB hard drive and I can't be happier with it. So there may not be a floppy drive and it may be an ugly color to everybody else, but THERE ARE NO CONS FOR THE COMPAQ PRESARIO 906US!
Peace out.
P.S- YOU CAN RUN ALL LINUX DISTROS. WITH A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE!
Hard Krome Slash-Cut Staggered Duals Exhaust System Visually stunning in looks and performance; a combination of classic beauty and cutting edge. Doublewall technology. Feature large 2.5n++ diameter dou...
