Pros: Just Right Pieces For Start Up Kitchen Cons: Prefer Glass Lids
Out of dorm life and into his first real apartment, a favorite nephew frantically asks what's the minimum he needs for equipping a new kitchen. I'm to assume he has nothing, and what would I recommend in the way of pots and pans.
Pros: Appearance, clean-up, conductivity, I could go on forever! Cons: None really...
I have been a staunch QVC supporter from way back when. When I heard they were coming out with their own line of cookware I couldn't wait to see it. I'd been cooking on T-Fal purchased from QVC but after just a few years the nonstick coating was...
Pros: Even cooking, EASY to clean, Great customer service for this product. Cons: The pans are made well so they are a bit on the heavy side.
I have had my Cook's Essentials Stainless Steel Non-Stick 8 pc Set for about 4 years now. I LOVE this brand of cookware and it is all I use now. The pans are a good weight and they look great. The non-stick surface works like a charm and they ...
I've had a set (actually, I bought 2 sets to get all the pieces I wanted) for about 8 years or something like that. I love them. I use them daily. I love to cook and I'm a cooking snob - which means I'm very, very picky about my cookware and utensils. ...
Pros: Stainless steel exterior, DuPont nonstick, weighted bottoms, easy cleanup, glass lids, love it all! Cons: Limited selection of individual pans available to add to your set.
I had a hard time deciding which of the Cook's Essential lines to purchase. I liked how all of the lines have the DuPont metal safe non-stick coating. The other two lines Cook's Essentials carries are painted enamel and hard anodized. I liked that the...
Pros: Even heat, great non-stick surface Cons: larger pans do not fit smaller cooktops
After years of buying non stick cookware at the local discount store, I finally decided to buy the Cooks essentials complete set. I had just purchased a new electric range and I thought the thick bottom on this cookware would work better on the electric....
Pros: Stylish, see-through tops, non-stick cooking surface doesn't peel Cons: Hard to position lids so air can enter
I recently moved out and bought a house and all that good stuff...and for my birthday, my mom sent me this 8-piece set. I'm a bit leery of non-stick, because a cheaper pan that I bought totally ripped up on the bottom and I would find bits of it in the...
Pros: Cleaning is a breeze. Cons: A little more than what I would normally spend for cookware.
and on to the table fast. Over the past 12 years of married life I went through alot of different brands of cookware. As an avid fan of QVC I decided to purchase this cookware and see how it went since it offered a limited lifetime guarantee. To my...
I saw this product on QVC about a year ago and I decided to give it a try. There are so many different brands out there, its hard to know what to buy and not to buy. I had T-fal at the time and it lasted awhile but everything was starting to stick....
I wanted a good set of pots and pans to go with my new kitchen.
Not wanting to spend ALOT of money on them, a friend of mine
suggested I try the Cook's Essentials line from QVC. So during
the "Cooking With Bob" segment, I ordered...
Stay away from Cooks Essentials by Sinclair_1st ,Feb 20 '04
Pros: My damages product was place with a better product. Cons: Mediocre Warranty, Don't follow the direction don't use anything but plastic utensils.
Original: I ordered a set of Cooks essential pots and pans. They advertise this get warranty and the product wouldn't scratch. How they were wrong, after 1 year the nonstick coating start coming off. I call to get the cookware replaces or fixed. That's when they told me to pay to ship the product back to the company and then in 2-4 weeks I'd get a responds on weather they would replace the pans.
Update(04/12/05): I finally returned the cookware after going out and buying a really nice set to use in the meantime. I sent the cookware out the first week of January 2005 and got a response from QVC(today). I know from here on out I will not use any utensils, but rubber utensils(not even wooden spoons).
Update (05/16/05)I've finally received all my cookware after weeks of shipments. In all i return 10 pieces, but received 12 pieces in return. The New cookware is 3x better then my original set. They have better handles and lids. Because of the return of the better cookware my opinion have changed a little. I still need to test the new cookware to see how it holds up over time.
Pros: Beatiul, Well Built, Quality Cookset With Lifetime Warranty
Oven safe feature Cons: Nonstick surface wears out like all the rest ive tried
I use the smaller skillet everyday to cook myself breakfast. After about one year, the nonstick surface became non nonstick ( as has every other "nonstick" surface ive tried. But this stuff comes with a lifetime warranty!)
So i couldnt find my paperwork on the purchase and called QVC customer service. Within 5 minutes, i was told they would send me a new one out and no need to return my origianl.THATS customer service.
The set is a beautiful, well made, quatlity set and with the lifetime warranty, i would not hesitate to recommend it. The oven safe feature is awsome also - comes in handy alot.
Pros: Superior quality for the price and wonderful limited lifetime warranty! Cons: Can only be purchased on Q.V.C.
I purchased this set several years ago with the expectation that cookware needs replacement after 5 years. Happily, this set has outperformed anything else I've owned in the way of pots and pans, and still looks very good. I am pleased with the even cooking, non-stick coating, and the fact that a busy family mom can throw it in the dishwasher!
WOW! This is awesome cookware! by shoeprincess ,Feb 16 '06
Pros: Doesn't warp, stain, crack, flake or peel, incredibly durable and reasonably priced. Cons: You'll want more cabinet space so you can buy MORE!
I received this Cooks Essentials stainless cookware set two years ago as a Christmas gift from my mother. I have to say that it looks and performs just as good today as it did when I first took it out of the box! My previous experience with cookware had been with a T-Fal set that had been given to me as a wedding gift. Within six months, the T-Fal set was cracking and peeling and looked bad; so much so that it was embarassing to have it sitting out on the stove when somebody came over. This is where Cooks Essentials comes into the picture.
It cooks evenly, it doesn't warp, doesn't stain, doesn't crack, flake or peel, nothing sticks to it, dishwasher-safe, incredibly durable and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for? I love it so much that I add a new piece to my collection every 4 to 6 months. I actually enjoy cooking now that I have a great selection of Cooks Essentials on my hands. And clean-up is a breeze. These pots go straight from my stovetop to my dishwasher and come out perfect every time.
