Pros: keeps kids brushing and cleans under the gums. Cons: none
Crest spin brush is worth 6 bucks for sure. It's action gets under your gum line and breaks up the bacteria. My dental appointments have improved visit over visit because of the spin brush and I thing is is one of the best things to come along in a long time in dental care. It's a cheap way to get your kids brushing well too. I'm sure there are plenty of other brushes on the market but for the money spent it is the best one on the market.
Pros: You feel as if you came from the dentist Cons: Battery replacement can be expensive
When I first used the Crest Spinbrush I was skeptical. After I used it I found that my teeth felt cleaner than when I used a regular toothbrush. Although it is a little loud and replacing the batteries can prove difficult at times I would never go back to my old toothbrush.
Spin Brush before Crest and, now, after... by terranova22 ,Feb 02 '07
Pros: The Spin Brush is an excellent cleaner, much better than manual. Cons: I suppose it may be considered bad for the environment to use so many batteries.
I started using the Spin Brush before Crest and decided that I really loved it. When Crest recalled them a while back, I carefully preserved mine until they came out again. I hope they stay the same now that P&G has "tossed" them. I tried other electric/ battery brushes and was not satisfied. My dentist comments on my clean teeth thanks to Spin Brush. I love the Spin Brush!
Oversized head, poor design by leemeek ,Dec 19 '03
Pros: Low Cost, replaceable heads. Cons: Poor Handle and head design.
The non spinning bristles on this tooth brush make the head too large to use the spinning portion easily. That coupled with the poor design of the handle make it hard to use the spinning action on back teeth.
Pros: great electric toothbrush for low price Cons: the brush stops spinning if held up to teeth too tight
The Crest Spinbrush is great. Its so easy to brush with. I though it would be horrible because it was so cheap for a electric toothbrush (around $6) But its great. Just hold it up to your teeth and it does the job. The spin action is good and cleans your teeth well. But, the brush stops spinning if you hold it up to hard to your teeth. But it works great.
Ive had mine for about 4 months and still is great. I love it.
I recomend the toothbrush to everyone. Especially with its price.
Pros: My dentist has observed a definte improvement in my tooth care. Cons: design failure of handle near joint where brush attaches.
My wife and I love the Crest SpinBrush and have them in our Motorhome, vacation home and residence. We have had to keep replacing them however for breakage right under the replaceable brush joint and keep thinking that we were dropping them as the cause of failure. This last week, we went to use the brushes in our motorhome that we bought in July/08...they have only been used around 2 weeks on vacation in August and were not dropped. Both of the the heads were broken! All I can think is the plastic is drying out/decomposing but is a problem that Crest needs to address.
Pros: Cleans teeth and massages gums like a champ.Less effort to brush with much greater results. Cons: Wondered if it wears down teeth, dentist said maybe after 1000 years.
Crest Spin brush is awesome. It cleans my teeth 10X better than any tooth brush I've had. It also stayed charged through the whole time our power was out after Gustav, (like 5 days)
