Pros: GREAT espresso, fast startup and cleanup, each guest picks his/her coffee capsule. Cons: Minor - may want to add gelpads to the stock rubber feet.
After many years of trying different espresso machines and endless varieties of grind-your-own beans, I have the solution I have been seeking, in this Nespresso machine. Most importantly, the Nespresso system makes truly great coffee. Never bitter, ...
Pros: Very easy to use, simple cleanup, many taste, strength, size and beverage choices. Cons: Expensive, you have to buy pods online, pods are $.50 each.
Wow, is this a great machine. I won mine at a silent auction and didn't know a thing about it. I had an inexpensive 20 year old Krups that was great, but finally died. I replaced it with a newer Krups and was extremely disappointed with the quality and ...
Pros: Easy, efficient, cost-effective, delicious choices, great customer support. Cons: Not as elegant as D300, beware frother splash.
Several years ago, I offered a review on my first Nespresso machine. That unit was based on the Krups engine that was once the standard for good espresso in a manual or semi-automatic espresso machine. Since then Nespresso has introduced several new ...
Pros: -no mess
-great frothing wand
-consistently perfect espresso shots Cons: -not the biggest fan of the "style" of the machine
-pods more expensive than beans
For those of you considering the traditional espresso machine vs. Nespresso's patented "pods" of coffee-- go with this one. Although the pods are expensive (about 55-60 cents each), they make great espresso with no guessing and best of all... NO ...
Pros: Unbelievably good coffee. Very simple to use, and a good looking machine. Cons: Caffeine toxicity.
I moved offices about four months ago, and there's one of these on my floor. Two months later, I was getting caffeine withdrawal headaches on a Saturday morning, having drunk so much espresso at work. Solution: get one for home. I've spent quite a lot ...
Pros: Ease of use. Easy to clean. Produces great tasting espresso and perfect froth. Cons: Capsules are expensive and somewhat wasteful. Limited to Nespresso's selections.
I purchased a Breville 800ESXL for my girlfriend. It lasted just one day in our home. I'm not saying it was a bad machine... but it was a "manual". That meant grinding our own beans and packing the filter as well as steaming the milk. The result was a ...
Pros: Fast, easy, no clean up, no mess, no measuring. Cons: Have to order pods online, but we just order a lot at one time.
We had a Capresso espresso machine for a long time and loved having espresso but hated the machine. It was messy and very inconsistent. My husband insisted we buy one of those "pod" espresso machines we saw at Williams Sonoma. I was dead set against it - I figured it could not make decent espresso. How wrong I was. This thing is much better than our old machine. It makes consistently perfect espresso with beautiful crema every time! And no clean up. No grounds. No measuring. Love it. I have a double espresso every morning and he has a Lungo. It also froths milk perfectly for lattes and cappuccino. Very easy. So glad we bought this.
Great coffee - good machine by justdisguy ,Sep 23 '08
Pros: Great espresso - no fuss. Cons: Machine is noisy and vibrates quite a bit when working.
I waffled on this one for awhile. $400 is a lot of money for a coffee machine. I haven't regretted it for an instant since I bought it several months ago.
The coffee is great - I like the Ristretto and Arpeggio blends especially. Dark, syrupy palette-pleasing crema. I had to add some sticky pads on the base plate to keep my cups from vibrating out from under the dispenser nozzle, but I have no complaints about the machine in any other regard. Nestle is *fast* on shipping the capsules - brings back memories of *real* customer service. +++ Highly recommend +++
Pros: fast, easy to use Cons: Not well built, breaks down if not used daily
I have owned this machine for 5 years and have had to go through three machines for the same problem...If we don't use the machine for more than a month or two, the electrical circuit dies and the unit does not even power on. We had to send the machine in to Nespresso. The first two times, they replaced it. The third time, it was out of warranty so they asked for $150 to replace it. If the same problem occurs with the same machine three times, each requiring replacement, something is wrong with that product design. I'd rather spend more and get a machine that is built to last more than 2 years. I would not recommend buying Nespresso for this reason.
