Pros: Powerful, relatively light, well built Cons: Expensive, a little heavy (compared to 12 or 14 volt drills)
For the last 6 years Ive been using a Makita 12 volt (s

my review) for all sorts of jobs as we renovated. But as much as I love the Makita, it lacked the power to drive long screws or drill into masonry. The ...
Having used and owned many types of cordless drills and have them all to be alright for the most part. But DeWalt raises the bar of what is and is not alright!!! With raw power, the brute force and torque of this 1/2" monster will allow you to drill ...
Pros: Portable and powerful drill Cons: Product placement in the carrying case
After purchasing a home built in 1930, I knew that a cordless drill would be money well spent. Because I would rather try to do projects than to pay for someone else to accomplish the task, a portable drill is a wise first purchase. While at the ...
Pros: Many different tools in the 18 volt group Cons: Poorly made, poorly designed, would never buy again. Millwakee, rigid, and most anything else better
Over the past 5 years I have had four different 18 volt cordless tool kits, First gen DeWalt 4 pc kit, a Makita, a Millwakee kit, and now the new 6 pc Dewalt 18 volt kit. The first Dewalt kit had a 2 speed Drill/ hammer-driver. The kit got a lot of ...
Pros: Powerful, reliable, versatile, premium drill. Cons: Price, final assembly point Mexico.
This spunky little drill is not a toy, so watch out! It has enough torque to rip your arm off if you're not familiar with this drill exercise a little bit of caution before embarking on your home improvement project. I have seen my friend/coworker get ...
Pros: Comfortable, powerful, durable, affordable, portable, and more. Cons: NONE.
In my opinion this drill blows all competition out of the water. I got one from Amazon.com with a $25 off deal in the Tool Crib catalog. The final price was $174.99 with no tax or shipping costs. We went through about 4 of the 12-volt Dewalt ...
Pros: Chunky . known brand, on sale, store allows returns. Cons: poor quality casing on 18V-XRP, WEAK 18V-basic drill.
After burning out my 18V Black and Decker in 3 months, I decided to go with the "known" (presumably for high quality) Dewalt, because I wanted to get a cordless drill that would actually be solid with daily use. i drive about 20-30 3" lag bolts a day ...
I purchased a new sliding compound miter saw from Dewalt and this was a mail in bonus offer that I was offered. I have always been sceptical of cordless drills until I received this one. I have now used this drill for so many projects that I probably ...
Dewalt 18 volt drill and power tools by sugarhoney ,Sep 14 '05
Pros: the 18 volt tools are light weight extremely durable, and of high quality. Cons: husband cried when he thought we had lost his dewalt tools
My husband and I live 1 hour from a paved road, power lines, any type of store. Our whole lives have changed after buying 1 of those multi power tool kits. The kit we bought had the drill, circular saw, jig saw, flash light, and a rip saw? My husband has a bad back and is not suppose to be lifting heavy objects.
We are able to accomplish anything any where. We purchased a second of the flash lights after my husband smashed up the first one. He was able to repair it after smashing it.He carries those flashlights I swear around in the day time!
These tools do not wear out. These are a huge time saver. I swear we have accomplished more in our lives due to these tools. Where we live our lives are dependent upon them.
After 5 years of constant use ,and I mean CONSTANT! the neck is not as stiff on the flexible flashlight. But he would never, never give it up
Pros: Easy to use, has a holder for screw bits, wonderful! Cons: Can't think of one
I never thought a cordless drill could be this good. I have used it to screw in a deck, hang drywall, fix fences, etc. and it has never failed me. My set came with two batteries which is great because you can have one charging while using the other. It normally only takes 15-20 minutes to charge a battery although Dewalt recommends letting it charge over night once in a while. I have purchased other Dewalt products because of my satisfaction with this drill.
DeWalt XRP Battery - 18 Volt High-capacity 2.4 Amp hour battery delivers 40% more run time than XR Pack batteries. Powers entire line of Dewalt 18 Volt tools and can run multiple ...
