Pros: You can see when you need to dump the canister, safe guard. Cons: Not as great of a vacuum as I wish.
Vacuuming is not one of my most favorite things to do when it comes to house cleaning. I vacuum every other day and it is near torture for me. Why do I hate vacuuming so much? Its like mowing the lawn except you dont actually trim the carpet. ...
Pros: Inexpensive, powerful, nice accessories, not heavy. Cons: Can be a little noisy, but not too much.
When our old Hoover Bag vacuum broke I was a little dismayed, even though we had kept that thing for about six years it has worked pretty well the whole time. I went out in search for the best quality vacuum cleaner for the most decent price. The first ...
Pros: strong cleaning vacuum, great price Cons: filter clogs easily
I bought this vacuum a few years ago from Walmart for near sixty dollars. When I first started using it, it pulled the dirt out from under my carpet! I was amazed. It has a clear canister, so you can easily tell how much dirt is in it and if it needs ...
Pros: Power - This thing could suck the flame out of a jet engine! Cons: LOUD!! Location of the HEPA filter makes it a pain to keep clean.
I've only had this for a few days, and I have to say I'm impressed with the power it has. I have two cats, and after going over the carpet I had vacuumed with my 20 year-old Kenmore, I collected enough hair to make another cat! It's relatively light, ...
Pros: Great power, great suction, great hoses/attachments, long power cord! Cons: Haven't found any yet!!!
I have had this vacuum for a few months now and am extremely satisfied with it. Actually, I am not just satisfied, I am happy! I bought the vacuum at Walmart for about $60. I found it to be a great price for a bagless vacuum with a HEPA filter along ...
The Dirt Devil Vision is a wonderful sweeper for the price. I got it for around $55 at Wal-Mart and it has held up pretty well. It has powerful suction, which I need because I have a dog and a baby. The attachments are amazing! They are great for ...
Pros: looks good, works excellent until the screen plugs up Cons: poor design of canister screen that plugs up like a lint trap in a dryer.
When I first got this home I was impressed at the ease of assembly and quite honestly it doesnt look too bad either. This model boasts 30% more suction that the other leading models, after reading this I was expecting it to suck the dirt out from the ...
Pros: Cheap Cons: Cheap for a reason. This bag-less vac is a nightmare to empty.
Worked well for the first few months, but wasn't long before my carpets started to suffer MAINLY because I hate to use it! I will never go bag-less again. I dread emptying this thing. My method: I get a plastic garbage bag, remove the trap and ...
Pros: Ease of Use and cleaning
Brute force suction
25' cord
Price Cons: No more dirt to suck up
I purchased the Dirt Devil M086700 on October 17, 2004 for $65.00. My jaw dropped to the floor when I saw all the dirt in the the canister. This thing sucks,,,,,,and I do mean in the good kind of sucking. That first time was the best! The following ...
Pros: Good on carpet Cons: DOES NOT WORK ON BARE FLOORS
One of my goals in life is to find a vacuum that will do everything I ask it to - vacuum my carpets well AND also bare floor, which is adjacent to my carpeted areas.
This vacuum does very well on carpet - it even leaves those nice little "track marks" but when it comes to bare floor mode - FORGET IT!
Every time I try to vacuum bare floor, it actually SPITS stuff out the back! I even say "ouch" every time because of the SHRAPNEL! I'm surprised it hasn't drawn blood...ok, I'm being a LITTLE sarcastic - but not much!
If you're wearing shorts or bare feet, beware - YOU WILL GET SHOT AT!
Pros: awesome suction and attachments Cons: attachments broke within the first week of having it, and it is very loud
I really love the way the vacuum sucks up stuff from my carpets and I extremely love the attachments that it came with, however my most favorite attachment of all broke within the first week that I had it and the attachment hose is also broke. It was awesome while it lasted, I only hope my warranty will cover the broken pieces.
We had owned a bagless vacuum of a different brand but after it had sparked and died on us we decided to invest in something else. We've had this vacuum for about 10 months now and I have never had the hose get clogged (big problem with the other brand) and it cleans the floors extremely well! We have 3 kids under the age of 4-years (which = BIG MESS) and I am VERY particular about household cleanliness and this vacuum had been an excellent addition to my cleaning arsenal. No problems with it yet and Ive been using it nearly everyday to vacuum a 2000sqft home.
it truly sucks and not in a good way! by jharelson ,Aug 02 '05
Pros: lots of attachments, long cord Cons: shoot dirt out the back in smaller pieces, loud, heavy and cumbersome
This vacuum is terribly made and I wish I had never bought it. It is heavy, cumbersome and extremely loud. What really disappoints me is that it not only doesn't work, but it actually shoots the dirt that should be caught in the filter out the back of it. where the cord attaches to the vacuum there is a small hole and believe it or not the dirt comes out this hole after it has been broken up into smaller pieces by going through the filter and body of the vacuum. I took the vacuum to the warranty place and they told me it was bad design. I then sent the vacuum back to Dirt Devil wanting my money back and they replaced the filter as a way to repair it. So, needless to say I won't be buying a dirt devil product again and I hope you won't either, some warranty!
Not very good if you have pets! by jhella ,May 20 '06
Pros: hose & attachments, long cord, clear canister, bagless Cons: Not enough suction to pick up heavy pet hair.
I bought this vacuum at Wal-Mart for about $60. It seemed like a good price and I thought that Dirt Devil was supposed to be a great vacuum. I liked the hose and attachments that came with it. I liked that I could see when the canister needed to be emptied.
At first it seemed like it had great suction, but after awhile I realized it wasn't picking up the pet hair. There aren't any clogs in it, so I have to assume that's the way it is. I've tried to use the hose and attachments to clean the furniture from cat hair, and it doesn't pick it up either. It seems to tangle it into the fabric more. I started to pay closer attention to the floor when I was vacuuming, and I could see the small stones being thrown out from under the beater bar.
I tried using it for 3 months before I gave up, it just isn't working for me.
Pros: bagless, incredible suction, nice looks, pulls carpet well, sturdy. long hose and cord. Cons: heavy as a tank
On a sunny day we went garage sailing and we came across this one. for $3 (great find!) she said it was fine but she broke off the on/off switch and it was missing the lid. we had to open the machine and pull the switch out and glued it. the suction was SO poor. it looked complete at first but we later found the lid was missing. six bucks and tada! it sucks like a hoover windtunnel and pulls up the nap twice a good.
the lid is the main reason why people think it has poor suction, it is either thrown away or not used. it is a well built model and weighs a ton but it works like a dream, it has so much power it pulls itself. and as a bonus the hose is very long for stair cleaning.
for people who complain about the weight, build some muscles:)
