Knockout Kings 2002 for PlayStation 2

Pros: Lots of boxers, several game modes, great graphics.
Cons: Some minor things, but nothing to complain about.

Most boxing games I've played have been less than fun. Before renting this title someone had said it's the best fun since Punch Out (you remember -- the NES game!). I tend to agree with this persons assessment of this game.

Knockout Kings...

Pros: Lots of real boxers, good graphics, a button mashing good time!
Cons: Complex controls can be frustrating, disappointing career mode and create-a-boxer

“…And still champion of the world!” are the words printed on the back of the box for Knockout Kings 2002. Like they often say in boxing… if this guy’s the winner, I’d hate to see the loser. Being a huge boxing fan, I was ecstatic...

Pros: Graphics, Commentating, Controls, and Fun Factor
Cons: The sorry excuse for "Career Mode" that is on this game, not enough real boxers

One of the coolest things about sports games is that they allow us, if only for one brief, shining moment, to be our heroes. That being said, this game allows you to be one of 21 Professional fighters--a nice number, but no where near the number one...

ok. the graphics are good all except that every fighter in this game are muscular. even butter bean. the game controls are very responsive but, they made blocking and hitting to the body very hard. a stupid idea having to use the analog stick. they basically used the game engine from victorious boxers. well any way. all i can i say is i am still playing ko kings 2001!!!!

where do i start.....how about the fact that the boxers NEVER get tired which is super unrealistic.....a average bout is a 1000 punch per boxer slug fest. The create a boxer mode is REALLY limiting as far as looks and names and such, and the inbetween scenes are boring and REPEATATIVE! (did i spell that right?) It is not as good as its playstation predacessor....oh, and the soundtrack is downright TERRIBLE aside from a pretty good opening song......rent this one.....but not for the whole 5 days.....

the game has ok graphics there was a loss of characters in the game the game ends and it would be alot better if you could keep playing till your fighter aged and couldnt fight as good anymore. the controls are really bad hard to control not like 2001 that had good control over your boxer. also the boxers never seem to run out of juice they keep going the dosent hapen in real life to me this game is more science fiction the than real to me and a good game has to be more real to life as possible they did it with the graphics but as for the rest of the game it gets a c- rating in my book.hopefully 2003 is a big hit in all categories.
