I purchased the slightly larger deluxe version of the Exped Down Air Mattress 9.
I tried it on a camping trip in the Colorado Rockies with the temperature near freezing. The first night it was wonderful; comfortable and warm. One of the best night sleeps I have ever had. The second night I woke up cold. I realized that my shoulders and rear were touching bottom and I was cold because I had no insulation.
In the day and a half since I inflated it there had been a very slow air leak. By the middle of the second night I bottomed out. To confirm the leak I inflated it and left it for a few days after I got home. It leaked and I returned it.
Still, I have such fond memories of that first night with the Exped that I am writing now to see if anyone else has had a problem with leaks. I hope that my experience was the rare exception rather than the rule.
Except for the leak I would rate it 5 stars. With the leak I reluctantly rate it unacceptable.
