Frigidaire FEQ1442E / FEQ1442ES Electric Dryer

Pros: Attractive
Cons: cheap plastic parts cracking and breaking with hardly any use.

I purchased this in June 05, and it was properly installed. The plastic part across the top in the corner is starting to crack and break off. As a single person, I don't do that much laundry. I also agree with the other person, it often leaves the clothes damp and I have to keep pressing the button. It does have a setting for Towels, which helps a bit.

Cons: Doesn't dry clothes.

I bought this front-loader with high expectations in June 2006. It has never functioned well. It basically does not work on a low heat setting. Sometimes you can get a load of clothes dry on medium heat. It also takes forever to try a load. It's basically worthless for delicate, low heat clothing. Just recently, it's gotten to where I have to hit the start button two or three times to get it to turn on.

Cons: Clothes come out damp, no front window. Lint collector is always very dirty.

I had this set since August 2005 (FEQ1442CES for dryer), (read the review for the washer). Again I say this is a terrible set.
After drying clothes they would sometimes come out damp, I was attributing that to the dryer having too many clothes to dry. Then I started getting half full loads come out damp, this couldn't be to the fact to it being overfilled, but to the fact that the dryer is dying on me.

Please, don't take this for granted, I can't be the only unlucky person with so many problems or a defective set, it's a bad model.

Also, another thing to mention, the lint collector is very dirty all the time, and it doesn't collect well, so the dryer is dirty too cause of it.

Cons: breaks all the time

This dryer has broken 3 times since may of 06.  problems started right after warranty expired. first the heat element, then the control panel, now its making a clunking sound. would NEVER recommend this dryer.

Pros: Clothes dry fast and come out soft even without dryer sheets.
Cons: None.

I love this dryer and would recommend it to anyone. The clothes dry fast and come out soft. I find that with the matching washer the clothes dry before the wash is done.
