Pros: Inexpensive, 1.7-inch LCD, easy to use, pleasing colors, realtively fast, low noise Cons: Soft photos, LCD only for good lighting, fixed aperture, poor controls, xD card

FinePix A345 4.1-Megapixel digital camera for $137. This is a rather low price for a 4.1-Megapixel digital camera with 3x optical zoom and a 1.7-inch LCD screen. Do you get what you pay for? ...
Pros: great pictures, great battery life (OVER 300 pictures with NiMH batteries, small size (compact) Cons: WHITE PIXEL PROBLEMS!!!!,video has "noise," video quality poor
THIS POST IS RATHER LONG, BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL HELP SOMEONE DECIDE ON THEIR PURCHASE: This has been my experience in the last couple weeks, in regards to Fuji A345 & A360. (Both cameras approximately $148.00 at Walmart, although the A360 comes ...
Pros: Good quality pictures, easy to use, compact, retractable self covering lens, uses AA batteries Cons: Might not satisfy someone who's even moderately interested in the "art" of photography.
I wanted a digital camera that I could take on motorcycle rides. It had to be inexpensive so if I lost/dropped/soaked it I wouldn't be out a small fortune. I wanted a camera that would fit easily into my pocket or my bike's windshield bag. I wanted a ...
Pros: Great quality pictures, great sound on video recording, and a very compact camera. Cons: The red eye reduction feature on this camera is not overly impressive.
Clear pictures, great sound on video recording, and a very compact camera. The lens closes automatically to prevent any accidental scratching of the lens when the camera is turned off or turned to the setting that allows you to view the pictures that you ...
I just bought this camera and all I can say is its fantastic! First, Let me point out, It is not a $1000 or even a $500 dollar camera. It is a very great camera with basic features at a price even I can afford! Secondly, Its tiny, and easy to use. ...
Pros: Everything is great about this camera...Go Fuji! Cons: Spending a little time shopping around for the best price.
I had previously had the Finepix A210 and had problems with taking pictures in the dark... now, I don't have that problem. This camera is great. It lets you select scene changes, all the regular macros, flash, red eye, etc. But you also have the ...
Pros: Affordable, decent pictures, extremely long battery life, good close-ups, good zoom Cons: Not the sharpest pictures, not good detail in white/bright light, choppy audio
I bought this camera 2 years ago in February '05. Being as poor as I am, it was the only one I could afford at $125 + tax. I've taken well over 3000 pictures with it and the pictures are nice, although they aren't sharp & crisp like other people's ...
Good quality, basic camera by losercher ,Dec 11 '06
Pros: Many features, price, size Cons: Long pauses between photos
The camera is a good beginner camera. There are many features available, including video camera recording. I am very pleased so far with the camera. I have purchase a Kodak and Cannon digital camera so far for personal or gift use and the is my first Fuji, so far so good. The camera is also very small, lightweight, and only needs rechargeable batteries.
Survived a year in Iraq with flying colors by indyharsh ,Nov 18 '06
Pros: Crystal clear photos, worked great in the worst possible environment, easy to use. Cons: The sound is not so great when using the video setting in Blackhawk helicopters.
I bought this camera to take on my deployment to Iraq because it was inexpensive, had only a few buttons and used regular AA batteries. It's taken spectacular pictures and survived almost a year in a cargo pocket of my duty uniform. Everyone, including many with very expensive cameras, has commented that are very impressed with the photos that my inexpensive little camera has taken. Not just good for a cheap camera, but really good photos.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this camera to anyone. Maybe I'm the greatest photographer in the world. I doubt it. Pretty sure it's mostly this awesome, durable little bargain.
Pros: was good enough while it lasted for a teenaged girl, picture quality decent Cons: VERY short battery life, VERY short camera life
The old saying "you get what you pay for" describes this camera to a "T". This camera was purchased for my daughter for her birthday and lasted just beyond the warranty period. My mother in the meantime also purchased the same camera, which she let sit around the house for months before opening, and low and behold, it didn't even work for the get-go, but once again, even though never used, out of warranty. Both cameras, same issues....
Pros: Good picture quality, easy to use, lots of features Cons: Fatal zoom error, accessories must be purchased in order for camera to actually be practical
I got this camera as a Christmas present, hoping to use it when I was out and about in Miami where I go to school. In order for the camera to be worth while I had to spend over $50 on accessories (rechargeable batteries, larger memory card because the one they give you only holds about 15 photos). The camera worked great for about a month and a half before I got the dreaded "zoom error." The lens won't open rendering the camera useless, and the only way to fix this problem is to send the camera to Fuji and hope that the warranty covers the repairs, which in my case it didn't. Apparently the zoom error is a common malfunction in many of Fuji's cameras, yet the company has done nothing to improve the quality of their cameras to prevent this problem. Buying this camera may seem like a bargain because it's inexpensive but it's actually akin to throwing your money down the drain--I know I will never buy another Fuji camera again!
Pros: Easy to use, decent quality pictures, fair amount of settings, overall great deal Cons: For the price, I've found nothing wrong.
We spent about 15 minutes in the store before picking this camera. We needed something cheap and quick for a trip we were going on the next day. It cost us about $130, and with the specs it has, that's a pretty decent price.
Before I digress, bear in mind that this digital camera cost less than $150. If you want a high quality digital camera, you're going to be spending far more than $150. As with many items, quality is a function of price.
So here you have it: takes good pictures, very simple to use, and it has a decent amount of features (timer, quality, various flash settings, shooting mode, etc).
Just a note: if you buy this camera/have this camera and the pictures start becoming impossibly blurry, take the time to go through the different quality settings; that fixed the problem for me.
There is really nothing I don't like about this camera given the circumstances under which we bought it.
Pros: Regular batteries, optical zoom, cheap, linux compatible Cons: Poor video out quality, can't zoom while shooting video
Regular batteries, in this case 2 AA. It came with Energizers!, but they didn't last very long.
Video out, preview the pics & video clips on TV, not just the little LCD. But as mentioned in the cons, the picture and video playback quality are pretty poor.
Takes good pics (JPGs).
Takes poor video (with sound), even viewed as the AVI on the computer. Low light capabilities are lacking. Can't zoom while shooting video??? (Though you can set the zoom before you start recording)
USB mass store device / linux compatibilty, i.e., no special windows drivers needed. This Fuji works with out a hitch on linux.
Pros: AA batteries, cost ($134), size & weight Cons: LCD screen fixed, Movie mode should be 30 fps & have a higher audio quality.
I've been having fun ever since I bought this camera. Nice small size & weight (about 6oz) makes it more likely that you will take it with you. I'm really impressed with the movie feature--who would of thought we would have this option with such a small camera. The xD cards are a bit expensive for a 1GB card--but one will give you over 1 hour of video on the 'best' setting.

Pros: Perfect no-nonsense digital camera. Cons: None
It looks like a camera, feels like a camera and takes excellent pictures. No unnecessary features to make things complicated and it even has a microphone for the movie feature, not bad for under £100.
