Pros: Light, Portable, Viewfinder, Low Light Photography, Ease of Use (Point and Shoot) Cons: Poorly designed cradle
For a couple of years now I've been using my Canon PowerShot A300 for everyday pictures, and a Nikon 5700 for better shots. However, as the children have gotten older, I found my Canon ... ahem ... appropriated. While I love the Nikon, for semi-serious ...
Pros: Great startup time. Good low light if you turn up iso. Good price: $308 ButterflyPhoto Cons: Fragile. Picture Quality is just OK. Proprietary software and memory card.
The FinePix Z1 is just fine. It does have very quick start-up time. The photo quality, however, is just OK. The 5 mega-pixel photos don't look as good as the 4 mega-pixels on me Pentax Optio S4i. I've more robust user interfaces as well on just ...
Pros: Nice handy size, cute and stylish. Cons: Poor picture quality. What else really matters?
This is my third Fuji point and shoot camera. I have also owned an F700 and an F810, excellent little cameras. I own other digital cameras, including a Nikon D100 and a Nikon D2X. I expect a lot from all my cameras, especially image quality. I felt I ...
Pros: SIZE & SIZE, THIN, LOOKS, QUALITY OF PICTURES. Cons: NO RUBBER GRIP FOR ON/OFF SWITCH.
I purchased this camera because of the size and the mega pixels. The 5.1 mp is outstanding. I went to a friend's graduation and tested the camera out. Later I had the pics developed at Wal Mart on their Kodak machine and the quality was remarkable. I ...
Pros: Sturdy, non-scratching view window, size Cons: no view finder, bad pictures, poorly designed cradle
We were away on vacation and I dropped my Canon SureShot, which shattered the viewing window and basically anything inside the camera. In a panic, I found the nearest Best Buy and the salesman convinced me to buy the Fuji Finepix. Basically, he claimed ...
While I'm not camera expert I do consider myself a "permanent tourist". I use my camera everywhere - from Afghanistan to my home town to my local neighborhood. It has great startup time and takes cool video clips. It slips in my pocket or in my car door storage with ease (anywhere for that matter). The zoom is not super great but it definitely captures all of life's moments. The screen is pretty tough.
Now for the bad:
I wish I could by pass the cradle for easy charging and transferring of images.
The door could be hard to grip when sliding open.
Horrible screen lighting in direct sunlight.
Photos in darkness are pretty much hit/miss. It'll take some learning to use the camera.
super ccd fifth generation is good . Leave it on automatic for everyday shooting by hawaii_sunrise ,May 07 '05
Pros: Picture quality is good under low light. Cons: Easy to cover the folded optics.
This knockaround point and shoot camera does what it claims to do. Under low light, it "automatically" adjusts to give good exposure. Very easy to operate, all the controls are at your fingertips....just getting use to it but in time, it will a natural operation. The main reason I got this was because of the convenience, compactness and ease of shooting. By the way, I also have the Canon 1D2 and it really is a joy not having to lug heavy equipment.
small, simple and very nice design but blurry pictures by amanieux ,Nov 14 '05
Pros: good video, great design, simple to use Cons: some blurry pictures
its very small, simple to use and really nice looking but some pictures are blurry ( much more than my older dimage xi), videos are really good, i mainly use it now for that purpose i no longer use my miniDV camcorder for videos anymore.
Dont bother, fuzzy pictures by dragynx ,Dec 10 '05
Pros: Small Cons: Poor picture quality
I was excited to get this camera, I wanted something light and small. The features seemed great, but am I disappointed. My cannon 3 megapixel takes better pictures than this. The images are fuzzy, not sharp and crisp.
Pros: Nice looking, Tiny, Lightweight, Big Clear Screen, Easy to use. Cons: PICTURE QUALITY IS HORRID.
I waited and waited and waited for this camera to be released. After reading many new and good things about it I placed my order as soon as they were available. I have had 2 FujiFilm cameras in the past (A210 and S5000) and have been very happy with both of them. Now that i have had the Z1 for a couple of weeks, i just want to get rid of it. The picture quality in every light situation and every camera setting is really bad. Whether I am indoors or outdoors, sunny, overcast, or cloudy, day and night, all pictures i take with this camera are far below todays standards. The colors are light and off hue and all images have a slight blur or "fuzz" to them. Even using the self timer produces plain ugly pictures. Too bad I am stuck with this camera, i should have purchased the Nikon S1.
Fuji Z1: a slick, fast, easy to use camera with excellent image quality. by jimiferrara ,Jun 09 '05
Pros: Overall: fast, compact, great images, big and bright screen, metal body, and very cool looking... Cons: Needs a rubber grip on slide on/off door.
This camera just feels right: design is great- easy to find buttons, very comfortable, easy navigation, and fast- from live to playback, and from off to on. The image quality is very good for a point and shoot: very little break up, excellent color, and sharp. It has all the modes you need and then some: b&w mode, and my favorite- chrome mode which boosts color saturation. Also, it has a natural light setting which is excellent for indoor flashless photography. The video mode is a flip of a switch, and works great. A 1 gig XD card will give you over 400 images on 5 meg, or 15 minutes of video.
Fuji FinePix Z1 Digital Camera by jono1 ,Oct 16 '05
Pros: Small size. Cons: See review above.
Video /still switch protrudes - catches each time taken out of case very annoying! Picture quality no better than my previous (3 year old and cheaper) FujiFilm F401. No grip for slide on/off door. No screw fitting on base for tripod. Docking station feels cheaper than previous camera.
Pros: Easy to use, light weight, takes great pictures, turns on quickly, easy to use software Cons: Expensive...but you get what you pay for! Do Not purchase from Digital E-traders!!!!
I great sleek design. It fits in my purse or pocket. Everybody loves it and it is so easy to use. You will never miss a photo opportunity because it turns on so quickly. It is perfect for average photo takers who want a camera that won't be out dated in a year!
Pros: Tiny, Quick start up, user friendly, huge screen, way cute! Cons: Shutter/focus lag in low light, some blurriness if inexperienced photographer.
This camera is perfect for the pocket. Easy to use, and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, you must always use the cradle. Metal body is durable, but seems like it will scratch easily. Same with glass screen in back. Placement of lens makes it too easy for inexperienced (i.e: the guy you ask on the street to take your picture) to put a finger in the way of the shot.
Pros: large lcd, great quality Cons: cradle, xD is different
Okay, so I LOVE this camera. It's cute. It's fashionable. It's pretty much all that I wanted. The quality is great, and so is the size. The LCD is also very sharp, which is a plus.
