Bought this after my full size Panasonic bit the dust. Although it is mid-size and has few features of higher priced microwaves it works well for small meals. I was looking for a keypad requiring a very light touch and this GE is perfect. The stainless steel cabinet is easy to care for using a small spray bottle of diluted liquid dish detergent. Spray on and wipe off finger marks.

Pros: Powerful, stainless modern look, Working great after 3 years.

Despite some negative reviews, I have not had a problem with this microwave. It is powerful at 1100 watts. Yes the stainless exterior has to be wiped often of dust and fingerprints, but that's the price we pay for stainless. The control panel/clock does steam up when cooking items w/ a high moisture content. Reliability has been excellent. I've had the unit for 3 years now. I hope I don't jinx myself by writing this. I think this microwave was a great deal for the price and power.

In less then a year we have bought gone thru two of these. Both have just stopped working. Retailer replaced the first one. Both have had the same problem. Just won't turn on. Another earlier review here says the same thing. How can GE not have a recall on this piece of junk!

I purchased this microwave in white...same specs same one just white...it works fine all the functions it mentions work well but two things are a problem...one isnt too bad yet but prob' explains the instant death many other reviewers speak of..the digital display frequently steams up w/ condensation.

The manfacturer says its normal if it goes away..it does but over time??? Wires and the keypad is there.

The biggest issue that its being returned for is this:

Weve used it daily for three weeks now the darn thing wreaks of paint odor if used for longer then a fast warm up or used multiple times.

It shouldve worn off by now as much as we use it, its giving me asthma and allergies w/ every use!

A minor annoyance if you can breath while it runs ...no quick min addition button..you cant add time w/ out starting all over.

The fumes have fed up! Why dont these manufacturers have a quality control shop anymore???

Didnt last a year! Hit the key pad and the timer counts down but thats it! GE cant find the parts for an 04 only the 03....So send me a new one! nope cant do that. Well im off to buy a new one and guess what kind I wont buy!!! Gee NO GE. Such Junk They Make.

I bought this microwave to replace a big Sears Kenmore dinosaur that I bought back in 1985, that STILL WORKED after 20 years but just took up too much space. This new GE Microwave looked great, it was the perfect size for me...it was under $100 and hey, GE has been around forever...they make a quality product, right? Wrong! This thing is not quite 2 years old and it just quit this morning. No warning, no weird noises...it just went completely dead. I checked the breaker box, the electric cord, everything's fine...it's just gone. I'm furious. It would cost nearly what I paid for it to even have someone check it, yet only lasting under 2 years makes it pretty damn expensive to use. What a piece of crap! No more GE appliances for me!
