Pros: Full-featured for a budget model. Navigation routing works well. 4.3" display is a good size Cons: Speaker quality is so so, bluetooth works fine but could be better.
First I have to say, as of today (01/05/08) the picture associated with this item on epinions is incorrect. It shows the 265T, which is pretty much the same thing as the 265WT but not widescreen. Regrardless, it is still the incorrect ...
With the economy in its "G.B. state" and many consumers tightening their belts, manufacturers have had to improve the value of their products. Garmin, already a company known for making quality products, has decided to raise the bar by keeping ...
Pros: Easy to use, no non-sense GPS with tons of built-in Points of Interest. Cons: Live Traffic option is not accurate.
265WT was our family's 5th GPS, and no doubt the best decision of the five. With all our three cars having their own GPS I did not need another GPS. But I got so frustrated with my 4th purchase which was the only non-Garmin product, that i ...
Pros: Good street navigationBig enough screens Cons: Heavy because it keeps falling off the vaccum holder on the windshield.
Had one other GPS earlier.First the power chord broke, later the sound on the GPA went off.Looked around for a good navigation system that would be both reliable as well as not cost too much. Then bought a Garmin GPS after recommendation from ...
Pros: cheap price, good map that is up-to-date Cons: bluetooth and traffic alert are poorly out-of-the-box it requires reloading the operating system
The map and driving direction are acceptable. Clear direction but it does not tell you the name of the road or the number of the exit or the name of the highway connection. It just tell you, say, in one mile, you have to turn or to exit. For this ...
Pros: 50% of the time it gets you found Cons: 50% of the time it gets you lost.
Garmin- I am writing this letter in response to your company's failure to address my complaint, and to inform you that as a paying customer, you will never do business with me again. Last winter I bought a Garmin Nuvi 360, a gps unit ...
Pros: Quick to acquire satelites, nice resolution on the screen, colorful too. Cons: Can't change phone volume during a call, registering phone took a few tries
I needed a handsfree bluetooth phone adaptor and wanted a gps for traffic conditions. This Nuvi 265 is nice! This is my 5th GPS and all have been Garmins so I don't know about the other OEM brands other than the factory unit in the Prius. I'd say the Nuvi compares favorably to the much more expensive Toyota unit. It is newer, 2009 model vs a 2006 Toyota.
Pros: great value for the money Cons: None. Need to update map
Bought this for the wife as an upgrade from a much cheaper Garmin. I cannot fault this device in any way. We love it and it doesn't seem to exhibit some of the criticisms from other Internet reviews, i.e., not a sensitive touch screen, volume can be very loud, screen is exceptionally bright and it routes around the Baltimore and Washing, DC area very well. I especially like the trip feature that shows avg speed, top speed, time to travel, stoppage time and cost when you program in the fuel cost. The GTM 20 FM receiver alerts us of traffic conditions and which roads are clogged. Got it for $249 and coudn't be happier.
