Is it worth shelling out $400 for the Geforce 3?

by NRay7882 , Oct 12 '01
Pros: Power of the GeForce 3 Chipset = Blazing framerates in gaming, Next-gen technoligy.
Cons: Price is too high. Supported games are not yet created.
A true PC gamer knows that it is impossiable, unless you have a VERY well paying job, to keep your computer in tip-top shape by upgrading hardware. Heck, even basic computer consumers can know this. It's well known that the newest technoligy costs a...

Pros: Great Graphics and easy install.

With today’s games becoming more and more graphically intensive, the question I am asked most by readers and listeners is “What video card do you suggest?” For the past three years, I have always suggested cards based upon the Nvidia chipsets, not...

by Bradman Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Aug 31 '01
Pros: Way, way fast!
Cons: Way, way expensive!
I recently upgraded my system to a 1.1GHz Thunderbird processor and a GeForce3 card. The upgrade cost about the same as an entry level system (around $650) but boy is is FAST! I was playing around with 3DMark2001 on my older system and I could barely get...

Visiontek GeForce 3

by viperl , Nov 28 '01
Pros: This is the best graphics you could ever buy
Cons: Expensive
I was amazed at what this card did for my system. It scored in the 7,000's on the 3D Mark 2001 benchmark (www.madonion.com). It is the fastest card on the market with a GPU clock of 200+ MHZ, and the 64mb of DDR ram takes the frees up system ram to do...

Great performance with SIS 740...
by beckerb_dt3000 ,Feb 03 '03
Great performance with SIS 740 and VIA KT400. Installation very smooth with WinXP as well as Win2000. Far better performance the ATI 7500 and Geforce 2 cards. Unified driver update from NVIDIA brings out great chipset features. Motherboards include ECS K7S6A, GIGABYTE GA7VAX, and Shuttle AK35GT2/R.
