Pros: 99% of things can be done online, Reps are generally helpful Cons: Not much explanation of number porting and your first bill
I had honestly been expecting the worse with AT&T Customer Service. My customer service experiences with Verizon Wireless hadn't been stellar and considering the number of reviews I see here on Epinions complaining about various wireless ...
Pros: I like my phone...wait a minute...it's a sony product...AT&T only sales it. Cons: Not the most honest people.
Years ago I wrote a review on how I had been treated by AT&T Wireless formerly know as Cingular. I explained how rude the customer service reps were. Well since then they have cleaned that up, now they are very nice. Have they fixed ...
Pros: Outstanding customer service. Cons: Everyone should have Customer Service this good.
History Our business was on Nextel for eleven years. Nextel was always a bit expensive, but we paid a premium for good service. As telecom costs tend to drop quickly every year, meaning you get more of everything for your dollar, we likely ...
Pros: Some good reps, Good signal, Decent hold time Cons: Many confused reps, Not trained well enough, Transferred to many times
I have been a AT&T customer for 9 yrs, I was with them when it was SWBell, Then Cingular and now AT&T. As a regular plan CONTRACT Customer I have never had any problems with customer service. They have always been quick to respond or fix whatever issue I ...
Pros: Personal attention, considerate and knowledgeable tech support Cons: Not the fastest to solve the problem, getting a real person on the phone difficult
Everyone likes to write reviews about bad customer service, but people rarely remember to write reviews about GOOD customer service, at least in my experience. So here's my good deed for this week :-) About a month ago I got tired of waiting for web ...
Pros: Online rep had 'some' of the answers Cons: Required to give up basic civil rights;
store employee couldn't answer questions about the contracts
I had the following chat session with an AT&T representative regarding AT&T wireless service on 6/19/08: Thank you for your patience! An AT&T sales representative will be with you shortly. You are now chatting with Arnesha, an AT&T sales ...
Pros: usable coverage in many urban areas Cons: customer service appears to have strong random component
Immediately after moving to the United States, I purchased a prepaid cellular phone from Cingular. This is now AT&T. The restrictions on adding money from a credit card, which I think are some attempt at anti-fraud, are somewhat mysterious. They don't ...
NO SERVICE while traveling internationally even though we activated international roaming days before we traveled. When we got back, we found out why - customer service left voice mail on our home phone that there had been "suspicious" activity from my ...
Pros: Excellent coverage.
Many features offered. Cons: Insulting treatment of customers.
Hostage loyalty.
I have been a loyal AT&T customer for seven years. I've carried the same phone and maintained the same calling plan until just a few months ago. Overall, I've been very happy with the coverage provided by AT&T, even through their corporate merger with ...
Pros: AT&T is probably no worse than any of the other companies. Cons: One day I am sure we will be able to dispense with phone companies.
I've been spending hours on the telephone to AT&T trying to get a letter from them so that I can get my credit rating improved. I have had promises, but no letter. They've given me Case Numbers galore, and Confirmation numbers in ...
Pros: There are none... Cons: Customer service can't view records for all products; have no authority to address problems.
I have been with AT&T (or its Bell System subsidiaries) for my adult life - 30 years. All my communications services - local, long distance, mobile, and internet - were AT&T products, and most recently, ran upward of $200 per month. "Loyalty" to ...
Pros: Good service area, free AT&T mobile to mobile Cons: Can be expensive if you use your phone alot to non-AT&T numbers.
When I first got my new go phone I was having some issues setting everything up. I called the service number expecting to experience the usual (long wait times, someone who you can't understand on the other end). But the help I got was very friendly and didn't get frustraited over the stupid thing I was overlooking. I didn't have to wait long at all, maybe 2 minutes tops.
Pros: nothing comes to mind Cons: uncaring customer service representatives, constant runarounds, false guarantees, rude reps who disconnect you
The service provider for my local business is AT&T - and I regret that very much. Our phone line stopped working, and the last time this happened, it took them one full week to repair. This time, it has been 6 days, and it's the same story again. There has been no technician sent over, not ONCE, and everyday I call and I get the same promise, "He will be there by 5PM today." I've called for 6 days straight and I get that answer EVERY time.
The numerous customer service reps who I kept getting transferred over to time and time again are incompetent, rude, and uninterested in your problems. They guarantee something, it doesn't pull through, and when you call back to complain, you get the same excuses and false promises. They won't even transfer you to a manager or supervisor. I was promised THREE TIMES, by three different reps, that a manager would call me back...and it still has not happened.
When they finally fix this problem with our phone line (I mean, IF they ever fix it), I am switching service providers.

Pros: none anymore, Cons: poor cell coverage
It seems to me that ever since Cingular merged back with ATT, the local cell coverage has worsened. Customer service claims that they are upgraded towers, yet the amount of dead zones I encounter daily has multiplied by 4. Nothing they can do says them.
Poorest Customer Service In The World by chascurt ,Oct 08 '08
Pros: Most of the c/s agents I've waited long enough to talk to are friendly/ knowledgeable. Cons: Hold times over an hour and 1 song on hold music.
I have an AT&T bundled package with home phone, wireless, hi speed internet, dial-up internet, and Dish Network TV. It is virtually impossible to get customer service on the phone. In the past 2 yrs I have called on all of my services at one time or another and have spent hours on hold. Oh, by-the-way, listening to the exact same song on hold over and over on all lines. I suppose they'd have to raise rates to hire more c/s agents or at least use that as an excuse but they need to vastly improve. I will never recommend AT&T and intend to change my services.
